I missed one call from this number 6 days ago and there has not been a single follow up call. I have no new business with BofA and no problems either although I have been a long time customer. I have entered the following into my contacts "Ohio BofA Maybe Fake??" so that if I get another call I can answer but with a guarded sense of skepticism. I did call the number back a few minutes ago and it is a very professional sounding recording saying it is BofA (and that they believe in world class customer service and that begins with conversations) followed by a live very professional sounding guy saying the original call was simply a customer service call to see if I had questions about my account. I said I had no questions and he thanked me for being a customer. He asked no questions and I gave no information. I know this could still be a scam so I will keep my guard up and keep info private.
Was getting called once a day for over a week. From another number I called it back. The operator claimed it must have been a wrong number (she sounded sincere). She claimed it was a customer out reach campaign. Problem- I don't have any accounts with BofA. I dislike and distrust BofA. I distrust this number, too. Therefore, they may be related, but then again maybe not.
Caller asked for my son. I told him he wasn't at home. One hour later I called the number and the answering machine gave me a pleasant response indicating that the B of A just wanted to make certain that I was happy with their service. The voice was in good American English and spoken by a young lady without an accent. Then some foreign broad, slant eye to be precise, assured me that it was only a courtesy call. The bank makes no calls of this nature that I'm aware of. I called again and got some male dude who assured me that it was just a courtesy call. He too was a slant eye. That's too much of a coincidence for them both to be slants. Add that to the first call made by them to my phone by a male slant and what do I think? If I were a guesser I'd say this call was from a foreign country gathering some type of data. I would also guess that there is an employee somewhere selling data on a disc. My son whom they originally ask for owes some bills and I therefore believe it might just be a collection agency. In any case, I would never tell people like that anything. And by the way, If the slants and or Indians don't like the names I call them, then they can stop their scamming and spamming people. They are the largest crowd of people in the world for scam/spam.And last, the little broad said that the call was from San Antonio, Texas.
I received the call, twice so far, and did not answer them. I did not open a new account with Bk of America.
Yeah, the [***] just called me and hung up. I blocked my number (*67) and called back and got that bs about staying in touch with B of A customers and to please stay on the line for the next available operator. No one has set up a new account here, and no one has any issue with their account other than there is never enough money in it.....I HATE these calls, whether or not it IS B of A remains to be seen. I figure if it's THAT important and there is an issue, they A-HOLES should leave a message of some kind at least. Is it a Scam or Isn't it?
If this is really BOA leave a message!!! I hate calls from an out of area phone and think it's rubbish that they don't leave a message.
They won't leave a message cause they don't have anything truthful to say. They are scared of being honest, and they are enslaved filth of nature. Their existence itself is a mistake created by their parents.
Strange.. Just got a call from 216-545-8515 also. didn't recognize it so I googled it. People here say Bank of America. I opened an account With Bank of America. I have a net10 phone that I bought in California.I gave them my number in the account. I then purchased a plain ticket on line using the card and again to buy a drink on the airline. I arrived in Alaska used it again to purchase a work out product with my net10 phone. If it is B of A maybe they are checking to verify the unusual transaction I made in Alaska. How could it be though because my net10 phone is a California number. Strange. Maybe i should have answered the number.
