Left amessage on my voicemail for an unknown name and stated it was restricted by federal law to leave message, it was regarding a debt.

Javitch Block & Rathbone is a law firm trying to get as much money from people by any means possible . Their lawyers will press for details and then cut you off saying they don't want your sob story. They will send a form to avoid garnishment that actually (at our income) will take more money than if the court were to garnish. best bet is to avoid the call, educate yourself on your rights and the collectors limitations in court, and then of course pay the bill if it is legitimate and within your means. But never give in to them or submit to their thug ways. Let lawyers play with lawyers, they will both like it.ps just assign a caller ID such as "NO" on the cell phone so when it rings you will know not to answer

Received several calls from this number. First few time I let the answer machine pick up, they left no message. Like a fool, I answer the phone, the last time they call, trying to find out who they are. The lady ask for personal information, which I refuse to give her because she would not give her name or who she was representing other than she work for the law firm javitch Block R phone 216-687-1199. when I try to give her my attorney's name and phone number she started repeating who she work for, never less I hung up on her.

I get calls from this company 7 days a week 3-5 times a day some calls are at 6am they even call early sunday morning and its very annoying, when I pick up phone no one answers when I say hello, any debt I have is with a debt consolidation company! I already sent cease letters months ago, This is harrassment!

Have been getting calls from this company for a year. They say the call is for someone I have never heard of. It is always a recorded voice message telling me to hang up if I am not the person they are asking for. My voice mail picks up the message so every day I have at least one call from this company, sometimes several messages are left a day. I want them to stop calling me. If I am home and answer, there is no one to speak to onthe other end. Is there a government or federal agency I can send a formal complaint to? I want this to stop and am willing to cause trouble for them in order to accomplish this.

A very rude guy with a deep voice called me and asked if I knew a certain person, when I said no, he shouted at me that how come I first asked him questions and then told him I did not know the person, well because they don't stop calling my number and I don't take calls that I don't recognize, that's why I have a voice mail. Disgusting!!!!

Instead of Better Business Bureau, we should have a Better Consumer Bureau. That way companies can check on you before you buy their product or service and don't pay them.
