Just got a call from this number as soon as I seen the area code was 226 I didn't answer - Time called - 1:40pm Location (mine) Toronto On No message left Earlier I got a call from the 411 scam (10 am same day) Glad this site is available to know that it is for sure a scam - They should not be allowed to call cells ! I google all the long distance numbers that I am not aware of the area code or come up unknown location

It tells me its some survay but that don't make sense since they don't add there compay name or googling the number only shows 3 resourses wonder what it is or what we all have in common that brought us to getting the same number and only 3 listings in google when search it that's creepy in a info superhighwayy+12263362502Who are u

Its a number for a survery, when I called it stated "this call was intended for you to participate in a survery, however the survery has now expired" and it allowes you to press 9 to remove yourself from the list... like that ever works. (Rogers customer, London ontario)

Sadly the days when cell numbers were semi-private look like a thing of the past. I just got the same missed call on my Telus number in ON. I never answer for numbers that I don't recognize. I read somewhere they can send your caller ID a fake number too. Some guy in ON with a legit small business got his number used by one of these telemarketers and now his rep is ruined.After renewing my numbers on the DNC registry, I seemed to get a jump in telemarketing calls from the US (NJ and FLA) so in Canada they may be using the registry as a call list and sub contracting to American companies who can't be fined by Ottawa.

I also got a call this morning. No voice message.

9:39 am in Toronto. Also with Rogers.
