I just got a call from this number 1-226-336-2502 today (Sept. 10, 2013) on my cell phone around 9:05 am but, I didn't answer; they didn't leave a message.
There is a "+" before the number, indicating it's an international call. This country code is from Burkina Faso, and apparently is linked to free-cruise-scams. It even made it on to the Toronto police 43 division's facebook page (!) definitely don't answer, tell them nothing.
I am with Bell. I do not think it matters who your cell provider is. Just received the call - I called it back from my work phone - it is an automated message in Spanish - I do not speak spanish so I have no idea what it said LOL

I just called the # again from a landline - it was in English now saying something about a survey and that it has now expired and to press 9 to be removed from their list. I am just going to ignore it, with all the scams out there, we are likely to be charged an outrages amount of money on our bills if we call it back.

I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
