It's not only to cell numbers...I just got one on my land line. I didn't answer but my v/m picked up...no msg. I'd fill up my block service in a week if I blocked all these numbers. They change the number all the time. One time I even got a call with my own phone number!
Called me and said he was calling about my computer service problem. I said there was nothing wrong with my computer and asked if he could remove me from his list. He replied, "No b****, I can't" and hung up on me.
Got a call this morning from a woman with an Indian accent. I went along with her little scam. Told her that I do not know how to use our computer, let alone know how to turn it on, and my husband was out of town and he's the only one that uses it. I asked her for her name. She said her name was Gloria William and that she was calling from South Carolina. The phone number is from Michigan so I already caught her in one lie. Told her my husband will be back on Monday morning, so she said she'll call back Monday around 8AM. I'm going to have some fun with her...lol I suggest everyone else play along with them and aggravate them the whey they aggravate us!
New twist with this number. Heavy indian accent...american name like joe smith or something. Said that my state has just approved a new insurance something, and that Mr Cash would be calling with more info...what would be a good time for his call. I said, that I'm already talking to you, so why do I need to talk to Mr Cash? I baited him for a couple of minutes, then got bored and hung up.
Anyone really know what to do to get rid of this crap? Obviously reporting on these sites don't work, do not call list doesn't work. What works?
Received call indicating that they were tech support for Microsoft and that they knew I had been experiencing computer issues. I do not use a computer in my home, just a work computer. My mother received a similar call and they hijacked her computer causing permanent damage when she refused to provide a credit card number. She had to buy a new computer.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
