Terrible, Terrible mistake. Never ever give out your credit card info unless you initiate the call to a known party.Cancel the card in question ASAP.

Rule of Thumb = NEVER give any INCOMING call your credit card #. If you are curious, tell them you'll call them back and ask for their phone #. But then call the REAL # on the back of your card and ask if they had just called you. PROBABLY not! I doubt any credit card company would call you and ask for information THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE!?That's my 2 cents. Remember, it's worth what you paid for it...

Call from "Life Alert". Number called is a business number, after hours is emergency response service for refineries, pipelines, and chemical plants. Telemarketers calling this number, if located, will get billed for an emergency call-out. My rate can be as high as Boots and Coots.
automated call saying, HI THIS IS RACHEL, there is no problem with your credit but they can lower your rate, I press 1 and ask to speak to RACHEL, they get pissed and hang up!!!
