Now a political robo-call message. . . .

Out of Washington State. Got a call advertising somebody running for political gain. Since others got a different message from the same number then figure this is a hired telemarketer peddling whatever.

didn't answer when it called just now....they left recorded message that is was some Senator I believe from Alaska talking to me about representing the boys and girls club and AARP and some special even to attend in Mountain View...whereever that is on FEBRUARY 20th - not sure if it meant 2012 or 2013~~~~~

Received a call from this number. They did not leave a message.

Even though the caller ID said the call was from Tacoma Washington, the woman said her name was Barb something-or-other from Michigan Right to Life, telling me who we had to vote for in the upcoming election. She started listing names and I disconnected the call. Didn't realize the Michigan Right to Life organization was based over 2000 miles away from Michigan.

They called me 4 times in a 5 minute period!! When I do answer I always ask for a physical address so that me and my ball bat can have a sit down discussion about their aggravating phone calls. They usually just hang up on me. Of course I can't just go to another state, however the hanging up just proves what bottom feeders they really are.

Yes David we can all band together and stop the spam calls. But what you did not tell these people is: For each and every "Do Not Call Violation" that you take to court, and every class action suit you take to court, 99% of the companies will just go ahead and pay your settlement, rather than send their high cost lawyers to your little town in whatever state you live in. Many of your participants will be lucky to receive a dollar, even though they helped you win your case. I am not trying to be contrary here, and whomever wants to help you should, but there are quite a few people out there who have found out they can make a ton of money just by paying their $12 filing fee and taking them to court. When you ask for help, tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And that is that you will be getting whatever settlement you ask for that does not push the company into going ahead and sending their lawyers to fight you. It's all about what is worth it to the company. If you ask for a settlement of $5000, and you live on the other side of the country, they are not going to pay their $500 an hour lawyers plus expenses. They will just settle.
