What pisses me off the most is i am getting calls at like 1200 am from these a holes and they are waking my kids up it really pisses me off
I just got a call from this number, but was an a call on another phone line so I didn't answer it. I came here to check out this number and read the comments. I work in I.T. and have dealt with Microsoft. Microsoft's headquarters are in Washington and this call came from Washington, there are many East Indians that work for Microsoft in Washington. I've spoken with them, and it does sound like they are in a call centre, and there is a lot of background noise. So if they can detect that your computer has a virus, it's possible that they can link your phone number if you registered your Windows and if that's a fact why not ask him to tell you which I.P. they detected and which version of Windows you are running, because if your computer sends a message to Microsoft it would have to include this data.
Yup, count me in. "Charles" was def from India/Pakistan area. Same bs as everyone else. Your "infected" computer sent Microsoft some message, blah blah blah. Criminal, ignorant, crackhead. Next time I'll see if I can string him along for an hour.
Just got a call from 253-820-3089. The man said I have a computer virus. I asked him what company was calling and he said the name of the company is Cisctron. I told him that this call was suspicious and I hung up.
I just got another call from this number...This Indian sounding person said I had a virus...I told him I just bought a new computer and it did not have a virus.. & hung up
These silly [***] started calling this afternoon (Mon 25 June 2012) and I recognized the number as yet one more attempt to con me into believing that my computer was 'infected' and needed their 'help', they got to talk to my voice mail (and of course didn't leave a message), 'too bad, so sad' - next time I'm going to pick up the phone and say "would you like a SLURPEE with that fake anti-virus program you're trying to sell?" Naturally when calling the number back, the carrier message says "that number is not in service", which means those con artists have no interest in getting any return calls.
Same as above... he was very rude to my wife... unfortunately my wife's primarily language is Chinese. My wife considered him very rude and loud.I am in Canada, Quebec province.
Ad me to the list. Couldn't understand how a computer couldn't run windows! Apparently that option isn't in his script. I can't believe Microsoft doesn't go after this crap.
I want to talk to you abpuy your computer, I hung up on the caller. They keep calling several times a week & during night time hours. The last call was at 1:10 a.m on 8/5/11.
OMG. Three nights in a row. This time at 10:36 pm. This is absolute BS. I don't answer but I can't turn my phone off at night. Who is going to deal with this and stop these annoying, illegal calls? If these calls are somehow being routed through a Washington State area code but actually coming from India, why the hell doesn't the state of Washington do something about it? The following is taken from Wikipedia..."...Area code 253 is a telephone dialing code in Washington for the suburbs south of Seattle and of the southern Puget Sound area, centered at Tacoma and extending to include the areas around Gig Harbor, Auburn, and Roy. It currently serves the western half of Pierce County, Washington. The area code went into service on April 27, 1997, as part of a three-way split of area code 206."Helloooooo Washington state - wake up and smell the curry and do something about this.
