I just got this call.. for the 3rd time this week. The last couple of nights I have gotten calls 10pm or later from 'Washington Cell Phone' or 'blocked', tonight I answered. It is an Indian/Arab voice calling my house at 10pm from a "Washington state cell phone" number. The guy on the phone tells me that Microsoft forwarded my number to his department because they were receiving error messages from my copy of windows. I have already heard of this scam and caught on instantly, I mean really... Microsoft calling peoples houses at 10pm? I hung up on him, called the phone company to request the last number that called my house to be blocked. Afterwards got online and googled the number and found this and a few other sites.

Since we have caller ID, we don't answer any number we don't recognize. We let the answering machine pick it up.I listened to the answering machine, and it was so garbled it sounded like the person was talking while underwater.So I came and checked the number on google and saw all these comments

I had the same thing happen to me today. When I said this was a scam he got angry and insulting.

this guy called and said he was a microsoft it tech. and my computer was sending out malicious signals. he said he needed to get in my computer to check it.. i refused cuz i knew it must be a scam..he then said "[***] YOU" and hung up..

253-820-3089 is the last call I received and I was on another call regarding my mother that I didn't answer. However lately I get calls asking for the owner of the house, calls asking for other people that I never heard of, calls to lower the interest rate on my credit card ( I don't remember when I last used my credit card) , calls asking to clean my chimney. The calls are annoying. I have a 90 year old parent and the calls always happen when I expecting a call for my mother and when I ask to hang up they refuse and get nasty, calls saying I won a contest. I am on the do not call list and received a confirmation in my email. I am on the list less than six months. The calls always come from area codes I am not familiar with. 849-963-3224 is another number I received today. If this continues I am contacting Comcast my telephone service to see if they can help me.

He has been calling me also. He called from another # about 5pm. Then this # about 7pm. I told him when he called the first time I knew he was a scam and he needed to research his #'s on the internet, He got mad. I told him he was attempting to commit a crime and he sounded like a child saying "so come and arrest me".When he called on this # I just said "is this the scam man again" and he hung up.

Person called and was very vague, and would not identify himself. He finally told us that he was calling from a software company, but he would go into any detail.

I see they have moved to another number. I too recieved a call from 253-820-3089 on 7/25/12 at 8:52 pm CA time. I answered but no one talked to me, too bad too, I would have had my husband get in on the act. I have had previous calls from this scam outfit, from number 529-222-9222 on 1/5/12 and told the Indian chick I had a mac and she got confused and hung up. It's nobody's business what my computer is. The first call was from number 589-223-8911 the guy faded out in mid conversation before I could get all the information. I, too, am tired of people being scammed by these douches. I'm not going to be conned, but someone else more trusting might. Thanks for the website, I will check it out.
