This is Kohls. It is their collections department. Yes, I owe them money....$5.21. I had charged several items, returned one item and paid my bill, I miscalculated and underpaid by $5.21. The stupid part is Kohs calls at least 3 times a day, sometimes up to 5 times a day. The calls all show in Caller ID as originating from various 800 numbers and multiple area codes from all around the country. But they NEVER leave a message. I have the "balance owed" set to pay on the first of the month when ALL my bills pay. Koh's is wasting alot of effort and time to play games.
I don't have a Kohl's account have had this same number since Sept of 1985 but I answered this call because my sister in law lived with us for 6 or 8 months several years ago and she worked at Kohl's during that time robo girl said " this is Kohl's I am speaking to" went to dead air I 'm not sure if she wanted a name but I waited for her to give sis's name did not give mine air stayed dead so I hung up
I've been called by this number but no one said anything. If it is from Kohl's then it doesn't make sense because I'm 15. What should I do?
Unknown caller to my cell phone. After I said hello twice, with no reply, I hung up. Sick of receiving these type of calls that are happening more now than ever.
I receive calls from this number almost daily. I've answered a couple of times, with nobody speaking on the other end. Typically, I just don't answer and they do not leave any messages.
Matt,It probably means that someone who had your number before you got it had a Kohl's credit card and is behind on their payment. The next time they call, answer it (note that you may have to wait a few moments; they use autodialers), explain that you are not the person that they are looking for, and ask them not to call again. That *should* stop the calls.Note to all: this is actually Kohl's collections department calling on delinquent bills. I get them occasionally when I forget to pay my Kohl's bill.If you are getting these calls and don't have a Kohl's credit card, it is possible that the previous owner of your phone number had one, or they have an error in their records. Either way, the only way to stop them is to answer the call, ask who they are calling for, and explain that you are not that person. If you have a Kohl's card and it is up-to-date, your phone number may be associated with more than one account. You'll have to speak to the representative to get it sorted out.
I received a call from 262-703-1977(Menomonee Falls, WI) It was automated stating it was Kohl's Department Store and the first this it prompts you to do is enter the last 4 #'s of your SSN. Obviously I did not do that. I entered 0000 and then it said it was invalid and to re enter the #. Again I entered 0000 and it again told me it was invalid and directed me to call another number. I redialed the same # that called me and spoke to someone and he wanted my first and last name. I did not give that to him and I told him what happened and I asked what is was concerning. He said he would need my first and last name. I said this number shows up as a scam when I google it. He then stated I may call the number on the back of my Kohl's charge if that makes me feel more comfortable. I said yes, I will call that number instead. I never did call the number on the back of my Kohl's charge. I just wanted to call that number back and and see what they had to say.
I just got a call from this number a couple of hours ago. I picked up the phone, said hello, and the other person/company hung up. I don't have a Kohl's credit card, never have, and have never even shopped in their store.Just called them back, and they asked for my account number or SSN (full number not just the last four digits) or press another number followed by the # sign. I pressed the # a punch of times and got directed to another automated voice, saying that I was selected to participate in a customer satisfaction survey. I hung up.They called on my landline (new number). I've read a lot of the comments here and even if Kohl's is using a autodialer and calls are coming in this frequently then it is harassment, whether the harassment is actually from Kohl's or a scam company. If these callers were legit they would already have your account number. The whole thing screams scam. And again, even if it is Kohl's and an autodialer then Kohl's is harassing its customers.Legal (in NYS) Penal Code definition of harassment (paraphrasing): actions which serve no legitimate purpose and cause alarm, annoyance or harassment (crazy I know, to include harassment in a description of the crime). If I get another call from these people, I'll just call the local TV Call for Action (most stations have these consumer reporting segments). If it's really Kohl's then they need to explain why they're harassing customers with repeated calls, and if not, the public should be warned about a possible scam and reminded to never give out their SSN. OT but wouldn't a legit autodialer start its message the second the phone is picked up? Something's fishy about this whole thing.
