As many others have said, this actually is Kohl's credit card collections. In my case, I had just moved and had a new phone number, and the person who previously had that number had a Kohl's account. I called Kohl's customer service at (866) 887-8884 (you can verify that number at the Kohl's website), and they took my number off.
Its legit-kohlsI didnt feel comfortable giving the last 4 of my SS# over the phone so I stayed on the line and spoke with someone. They said they cant help me until I provided my SS or account # so they told me to call the 800 number on the back of my card which I did. Apparently, my bill was overdue. I asked if the 626 number was actually them and they said it was their headquarter number.
I have been receiving calls from 262-703-1977. At first I didn't answer the phone because whoever it is was not leaving a message. Come to fine out this is a Kohls collection agent. I total forgot to make a payment. Instead of paying over the phone I went to the Kohl's dept and paid my bill and the calls stopped. I recommend if you receive the calls from 262 # go to Kohl's dept and make your payment
Left a voicemail saying it was kohls department store, called back and it said I won a trip for two to the Bahamas! Scam, scam, scam. Definetely not kohls! My kohls card is up to date with payments.
