Just got the call, Calgary Alberta. Its obviously not someone we know personally. so ignore it.
289-301-2257listen folks, these calls have nothing to do with the cellular provider you use, your number was not sold, these scams are set up on auto dialers and go through a sequence of numbers...you number is nothing special...STOIP ENABLING SCAMMERS by answering these calls...use a blocker app like Mr. Number to hang up on these chumps.
Nov 22 2013 - got this number calling to my 613 (ottawa) cell twice in one minute today. Didn't answer.
Do this - When the phone rings, answer it and just lay it down, don't say anything. Guess what - they won't call you back because they are incurring the costs of the call. I had a caller from some weird number who called at least 5 times over a period of 4 days, which I never answered. I finally picked up the telepphone, and just laid it down open, without saying anything. They got the hint pretty quickly, and hung up because they are the one's incurring the costs. Hope this is helpful.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
