I wil agree this is a phone number used by a lot of different companies that deal with health We received a call from them today and did not answer in a while a message/voicemail was sent informing us we could add dental care t our medicare advantage plan but had to do it within the signup period The plan we have is limited to 4 counties that it can be sold in
I just got a call from this number and it was a message from Georgia Power letting me know that there would be a short power outage (for maintenance) in my local area on Tuesday 11/11 and Wednesday 11/12.I appreciate receiving the info. This site is used by professionals to notify schedules, appointments, etc. and seems to be legitimate.
This phone number calls me daily, recently tonight at 8:07.I refuse to pick up the phone as this is an unknown phone number. They leave a message which again I will not listen to it,but it appears on my messsage ususe as 3 seconds, call me paranoid, but these days people can obtain anything from your device.I reside in Florida.I hve now blocked this phone number.
They have called my phone several times I have missed there calls but if they are calling to remind me of a upcoming Dr appt they are lying cause I don't have one. Its a scale ppl need to get a real job and stop trying to scam ppl. Some ppl are just a piece of [***]
Sorry, but I STRONGLY disagree with you. MY appt reminder is from an institution that ONLY treats ONE TYPE of disease. So, anyone that gets my name/number is going to KNOW that I have one of this type of disease, which is information, in and of itself that *I* consider PRIVATE and AM NOT SHARING with the majority of people. This is info that could affect my ability to get health insurance (or could before they recently changed the law), LIFE insurance and even EMPLOYMENT. So DON'T tell me that my health provider 'sharing' this info with a THIRD PARTY WITHOUT my prior knowledge or consent is 'no problem' or 'no big deal.' NOT your call to make - and NOBODY asked you.
The message they left was legitimate. It was a reminder of an upcoming appointment with a doctor. However, the message reminded me of an appointment with Oncology Associates and the message named the doctor. Any person hearing this message would know that I have cancer because this is a cancer clinic and the doctor is an oncologist. It is NOT a HIPPA violation because HIPPA restricts what a HOSPITAL can release about a patient, not what another health care provider can release.I had ignored this number in the past because I thought it was yet another scam caller. It would be helpful if their caller ID named the real medical service provider instead of only an area code which I know to be in Colorado.I have store the number in my cell phone with an appropriate name so I WILL answer the call in the future.Having said all of that, I agree with those who have posted that this constitutes careless use of private medical information.JS
From the comments and my experience, this company is a complete screwup. I got a voice mail appointment reminder from this this morning meant for someone named "Cynthia" who is not me. It's on behalf of a medical practice in my area. I hope none of my doctors are using this very poor service.
It's so strange that doctor offices use this service for appointment reminders. I received a call from this number too to remind of us an appt at an ortho surgeons office. It's legit.
