2 calls so far, a few hours apart, nothing but a 2 second blank vm. I do have appt scheduled for Monday (today is Saturday), but my practice doesn't do appt reminders by phone, never have. They use Patient Portal & remind by email. Maybe next time I'll answer & see what it's for =\
Answered when called back. Last week I had to call my ins company (Medicaid) for something & it was an automated 4 question survey on how they performed. Also, it provided a separate 800 # for me to submit more feedback & comments if I chose to do so. This is not a bother to me. Just wish before I got off phone w/ins company last week they'd have warned me I'd be getting a call.
I normally don't comment on these types of things but this one really bothers me. I also received a call went to voicemail. My concern is it informs me of a Dr appt. for my son by name... The clinic name and ph# is not given " please call us at..( nothing ) if you are unable to make your appt." calling his specialists tomorrow.
I will admit I am complaining. I'm complaining because I don't have any appointments and they call about 15 times a day. They don't leave a VM and hang up when I answer. It's annoying.
Doctors office reminding me of appointment. They do not leave a message due to confidential information, not knowing who may hear. Surprisingly.... not a robo-call. Caller ID read "Important Message".
The call I got DID confirm a LEGITIMATE appt that I have. So, this is not 'spam' nor a scam in the usual sense. What upsets me, though is, my PERSONAL medical condition is automatically ILLEGALLY disclosed to a third part by virtue of the fact that my facility has the NAME of my medical condition IN ITS OWN NAME.I will be contacting my ATTY about this.
This was a valid reminder of a medical appointment in about 36 hours. The Caller ID said "IMPORTANT MSG"; it would have been better if "APPT REMINDER". I'm in California; the information being provided to the (presumably) Colorado-based calling company (area code 303) is (1) target phone number (mine), (2) time to call, and (3) text to read, where the text includes date/time of appointment and the address of the doctor. Not my name. Not my doctor's name. Nothing about exactly what the appointment is for. I don't see how this is a privacy issue.
