Another avenue is to file a complaint on Better Business web site. There you will see a list of complaints against this Aspen Media. They claim that they are doing research and a survey, so they do not have to comply with Do Not Call List. Each complaint they had the same response. Its too bad they don't list the companies they work for so a list could be formed and published phone numbers to complain about their service. I would never buy a thing this company is trying to sell. Everyone who receives these telemarketer calls should file a complaint with Better Business, make them waste their time answering complaints. Its nothing but a scammer in my opinion.
Looks like they're mainly phishing for information. They mentioned a medical trade magazine that we receive for free, implying that they need to update our information in order that we can continue to receive it. But, they've got nothing to to with the magazine, I'm sure. I just told them 'no' and thanked them for calling. Usually, people don't call back repeatedly if we don't give them a hard time, or demand they 'remove our number' or asked to speak to a supervisor or cuss them out and other stupid stuff like that. For many bogus callers, if they can't get something valuable from you, they just settle for pissing you off and making you act out on the phone. They get a kick out of hearing you making frustrated demands and threats, and it gives them a chance to unload on you a bit, themselves.
maybe you work for them.....hope they call you hundreds of times...especially on weekends...waking you up....when people work shift work...something that you probably dont do it is a BIG DEAL.....
Yesterday and today, called my cell phone; no prior contact that I know of, since I give my number only to friends and limited other contacts. Don't remember if you can yet add cell nos. to Do Not Call lists or not. Looks like blanket robocalling tactics. One thing folks should keep in mind is that when calls go to voicemail or answering machines, that may trigger an information bit for scammers to re-use later, with much more sinister agendas. Sort of like chain letters, wherein mailing to an unknown name on a list actually is going to one of the scammer group, so they learn if you're a potential 'mark' to target with more aggressive schemes.
This is yet another phone spammer that has contempt for the do not call list and wants to bother people anyway. Got a call from these scumbags on my unlisted phone number that is on the do not call list. They call my number just like many others on the do not call list. The list means nothing to them, they would rather annoy people.
I too get many calls from 303-786-9500. I have asked them repeatedly to STOP calling me. First they call and then hang up (multiple times) and then you call back and get a recording that they do not have to comply with do not call lists. I reported the to the FCC tonight. What a [***]-ball place. Would never do business, or work, for companies like this.
Other posts suggest they are not legit - and certainly not legal if call numbers are in the Do Not Call list - which many of us are.So, sorry, but given the number of responses here, my own experience, and that of others I know, these are beyond annoying - and I can hardly believe that 'many' subscribers 'prefer' to be cold-called! ('respond well' as measured by ... ? number of sales? - this may just be result of hard-sell - which is why we ask our aging mom to not answer the phone anymore.)
In addition to my previous comments, I called Aspen back this afternoon and their message makes it clear that they don't want to recieve calls from anyone they are calling; the only feedback route they offer is to leave a message to have your phone number removed from their list and they request your name and phone number to do so. My name is not needed and I don't trust them to handle my informaiton at all. We'll see if they follow through of if I get more calls.
