I was told she was calling on behalf of Microsoft. I was told to go to my computer and she would show me my corrupt files. When I questioned her she told me to shut up and when I continued to question her she kept repeating you shut up about 4 times and th then I heard a dial tone. I also receive calls from a # that indicates not available when I don't answer the brown kenneth.
Ah .....sorry to burst your bubble....but this site is to report unwanted phone calls .....maybe you like getting the unwanted calls but I do not...
A women called from the 304-743-8823 phone number. She had a very heavy accent, from India, I think. She called EARLY in the morning. I told her I couldn't understand her & asked why she was calling so early in the morning & hung up. We are on the do not call list!
The last 10 calls to my home land line was from unwanted calls....reported it to my phone company....they said nothing they can do about it....
Get calls from this number all the time. Have it forwarded to itself, so the robo dialer gets the not in service message. Hey Yoda, I did a test to see what number shows up on caller ID when I forward a call. Had my sister call my home phone and had it programmed to forward calls from her phone to my cell phone. The caller ID on my cell phone showed her caller ID, not my home phone number which was forwarding the call. So I feel safe forwarding selected scammer numbers to other phones I do not like (mostly other scammers, political and charity callers. It did show "forwarded call" before I answered it.
I received a call from this number this morning. She said they were getting security alerts from my Windows program on my computer. She wanted me to go to my computer and log on. I said no and she hung up.
You are 100% correct, the FBI has far more important things to deal with, like Terrorism
this is a scam they are trying to trick you into thinking that a virus has gotten into your computer and want you to turn it on and give them access to fix the virus. I have an excellent security and therefore told them nothing was wrong with my computer and I would not give them access they just kept talking about the problems my computer has and so I hung up. What ever you do, do not give them access to your computer.l
I am receiving calls today from George Brown, number 1-304-743-8823, insisting on fixing my computer because it is infected, and if I don't follow his instructions I will loose my computer in 2 hours. He claims to be from the Microsoft technical support, but he is very unprofessional and told me to "keep my mouth shut" and listen what he has to say. I hang up on him and he tried to call again, but identifying the number, I did not answer.
