They call during business hours. Sometimes multiple times in a row. The number is a Florida number. One time when I picked up I got a Spanish recording. I was annoyed so I just hung up. Most other times they just hang up when you answer.
I called that 866 # and they are selling "prescription" drugs. Weight loss and pain relievers. I pretended to want to order something and then they told me before a "Doctor Price" approved my prescription, they would need me credit card information. Of course, I didn't give it to them. I'm not that stupid. It sounds like to me they are a bunch of telemarketers trying to make a buck or at least, trying to steal a buck. Who knows if this company is legitimate or not.
Recieved a call from this number (1-305-800-1000) on 7/16/09 @ 7:35pm; 7/23/09 @ 7:32pm; 7/24/09 @ 12:07pm; and 7/24/09 @ 3:15pm. All times Eastern. I did not answer any of them and the call did not leave a voice mail. When I tried to return the call I got a recording that said that "The number you dialed is not a working number. Please check the number...etc". Is there a way to block the number?
Received call today from the same number and some lady who could barely speak English said she wanted to talk to the person in charge of paying the Elictric, bill. I did not respond to her, but asked her what was the reason and she said that it was to verify some information. SCAM! I was able to trace this call, but other times the number is untraceable. Previously, another phone call was made to my home this time it was someone saying they were from Verizon and they were giving out free phone cards and they would send you one if you verified your information. SCAM!Unfortunately, I was at work and my mother a senior citizen picked up the phone and she gave out her basic info i.e. address, name, and tel #. I'm not quite sure what they'll do with the info., but I'm pretty sure it won't be good. Please, if you have a senior citizen inform them to never give out info. even if it's from a trusted company. These people are liars, cheats, and will stoop so far as to use a well known company to get their goal whatever it may be. The misfortune is that the elderly are the who are often the victims.
I ordered the free trial of Acai Berry and it is a total scam! $84 dollars a month for it and they charge your card 14 days after you order the "free" trial. Always remember to read the fine print - I wish I would have. And now I keep getting calls from this same number (305-800-1000) number and no one is there when I answer.I actually had problems once before with another number. Same thing would pick up and no one would be there. That went of for weeks and finally some one did say something and it was to try and sell me this Acai stuff, they claimed I had inquired about it. And this was before I ever order this stuff. The only thing I could tie it to was when I opened an email on my blackberry. I never filled anything out and they started calling saying I had inquired about it and the only thing I did was download the pictures - so beware if you are viewing emails on a blackberry or similar device for this or similar products.
Same as all the above!Just email the FBI.....The proper email for them can be found on Google. I have it somewhere, but not at my fingertips....but it works. Good luck to all!
They call, hang up on answering machine or when I answer in person. I haven't applied to or bought anything that might generate this. I called the local phone service and they ran a check and said the number came back as disconnected.
Are you getting a call over and over again from 305-800-1000 and the caller keeps hanging up. This number keeps calling me and I traced it to a website that also has the number 866-949-0138. I called them and asked them to put me on a do not call list. It took a little while to explain my situation to the person who answered because they couldn't understand what I was asking them.
