I never answer numbers I don't know. If I do, it will take alot longer for them to go away. They are selling something I don't want, or just looking to take money from me. If there was no financial incentive involved, they wouldn't be calling in the first place.

These people have been harassing me for months...when I inform them that I'm on the Do Not Call Registry, onetold me to [***]. So I had some time and was able to track down the [***] behind this ....The guy's name is Sahar Brown. They are located in Woodland Hills, California (6100 De Soto Avenue #413).His phone number is 213-361-8646. I intend to call him in the middle of the night every time I receive arobo call from this scam outfit.

Seemed like a scam to get me to give up credit card information. They said it was a "final offer to lower your interest rates to 6%" but didn't name the card company.

Received a call from this number pressed one. Took about 40 seconds for someone to ask if I would like to take advantage of their lower interest rates. I said sure, I was trying to see how big of a scam this was. "Gentleman" was offended and said, this isn't a scam if you don't want to take lower your interest rates that's your problem. Then hung up. This was too funny. Do not give them any information.

This number just called me from Ten Sleep, WY and left no message. I won't answer numbers I don't recognize and I'm glad I looked it up.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing. I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these nuisance calls since 2012. Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls. Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on. Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls. If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action. If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously. This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them. If you really want to block them – there is software available that a layman can install. Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months. So the message is simple – blocking works….PS: I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!
