The Lea-land energy company has a boiler room with guys working on the phone stealing clients from other firms and cold calling clients with out right lies and [***]. don't believe them they will steel your money. We have notified the proper authorities about their scam company and boiler room tactics.

I live in Alabama and received calls from a Leland Engery rep last week offering a trip to LVagas and received a package in the mail on their new Greeley-Wattenberg drilling fund requiring a 25K investment. I have read all the info in the internet I could find. It appears Leland Engery/Stephen M. Thompson and many other names and LLCs has been convicted of securities violations in Wisconsin, Penn, Calf, Mich, Maine, Oregon, Missouri, North and South Dakota, Kansas, Indiana and Idaho. They actually disclose this info in their Representation and Warranties for partners....Sooooo, I guess AL has not caught and convicted him/them yet. I can only assume that as long as they provide this info as full disclosure of their past wrong that they can not be held liable for non disclosure. I knew as soon as I read their partner agreement that it was written with the intent that they could not be held accountable for the loss of my/your investment...I just can't believe that people with 25k+ would invest in something that is so vague as to the rembursement of their investment. In an investment of this type (oil/gas well) the gross vs net can be eaten up by expenses of which the investor has no way of confirming because receipts are as easily printed as necessary to reduce gross revenue to next to nothing for net revenue. It may be a good tax shelter for those investors needing one...Who would I need to call in AL to get the company investigated before people in AL get caught in this scam...OBTW to Mr. Thompson and co defendents, if the investors had been happy with their investment you wouldn't have been sued and if you had made full disclosure of all risks/information as well as abided by all state statues you wouldn't have lost.

My husband bought into leland energy in the amount of 242k we got a few small royalty checks then were told they hit water in the Kentucky wells. My husband died in april of 09. They gave me worthless penny stock in cnsv which i believe is just a shell company now to get out of paying investors. Im devastated and cannot get my money back. What can I do?

Stephen Thompson has had a very long history of screwing people around. He apparently was involved with those types of "mailbox" services that were so popular in the early 1990's. He also was heavily involved with a "company" called GBSI (Global Business Services, Inc.) -as I can see from your posting above- from dates (approximate) 1999-2004. He took money from me, my family, & several friends. Another name to avoid is Robert Milligan. As you probably know, apparently GBSI became Energetic Holdings, then Pavilion Energy Resources, & now are Leland Energy...hmmm, sounds strangely akin to Leland Gold. I would love to go into more detail about what transpired with Mr. Thompson & GBSI/Leland, but too much to go into here. It is in the past, but we lost a considerable amount of money to him & his illegal scams. Suffice it to say, we are just trying to go on with our lives, but feel we need to warn anyone considering doing business w/Mr. Stephen Thompson, Mr. Robert Milligan, or Leland!

Keep getting calls from this number. No clue who it is..

The State of California won that case - Thompson is gonna pay !!! finally the scamster has been caught.

Mark, Whatever you do don't invest any funds with this flim-flam organization. I did and they took me for my life savings. I'm in the process of getting in touch with the SEC here in Montana to try to see if I can get any redress. rdk70@hatmail.comF8R7
