I read through the other comments posted. Tough to know whether they are legitimate or fraudulant. For me, they said they were from American Research and calling on behalf of Bank of America. Twice I told them that I didn't trust that they were who they said they were and they immediately hung up. The laughable irony here is that if they are fraudulant they are doing it right under the noses of the Compton Sheriffs department and City Hall. The Sheriff Dept. address is 285 S Willowbrook Ave. City Hall is 243 S. Willowbrook Ave. and this business is one or two doors down. I could not pin down the exact building, but suffice it to say that you could probably hit them with a rock if you through it from the doorway of the Sheriff's Dept. Aren't we all just shocked by the irony!

Received phone call from 310-525-1416. Answered the phone. No one said anything on the other line. Then call disconnected. Happens almost everyday. I am going to report them to my local police department for harrassing phone calls.

Not much more to say.....I experienced the same as most......my phone rang about three times and hung up.....when I called the number back, I got a recording saying it was a disconnected number....hum!!!!!!

I got a call today from this number and they did answer, saying it was "GO TOYOTA" a customer service data center for Toyota Car company. The guy was nice and sounded legit, and assumed my number was dialed by mistake. They called my work number so it could be, and maybe this number has been used for various companies or one company that is contracted out by other corps (like BOA from reading comments above). Don't believe it is as bad as everyone makes it sound, sounded pretty harmless to me and they didn't leave any message or want any information when I called back.

The same thing happens to me everyday. The number is (310) 525-1416. I never answer and there is never a message. I tried to call back the number from a landline and it said disconnected. I called my carrier, Verizon, and they put a block on the number.

I just wanted to find out the general location of the calls. The only entity able to use a number of this type is LAW ENFORCEMENT unless the phone companies are working together with these individuals in direct violation of FCC statutes regarding this type of activity. The do not call list is not effective. Report these calls to your local branch of the federal communications commission. We will do the rest...

please ignore and don't call them back. these are scammers, magets, worms of the earth .... lol

This number has called my home but they leave no message. After multiple calls at different time I decided to call the number back to my surprise the number is not in service. This is very interesting and scary that a non existing number can make phone calls. ?????
