They have called me every other day for the last week, but I don't pick up. I don't know anyone in Chicago.
It's clear that you know nothing about the DNC List, the Constitution, or HIPAA. Robodials from the CDC are a nuisance, but they violate none of the above.
CDC, they said was the name and wanted me to participate in a survey. I asked "how did you get this number". They replied "it was picked at random". I told them to take my number off this list and never call me again. She was very hateful with her remarks.
I just called these a-holes back three times - they don't answer as the University of Chicago and don't care about our rights to be left alone. I have decided to call them back at least once a day and let them know what a-holes they are. I encourage others to do this as well till they get the message that we are sick of this BS.By the way, whoever states they are legitimate, they told me they with the CDC and there was nothing I could do about them calling me. CDC or university? Hmm..sounds real legit.Let's see if they like getting a call everyday harassing them like they harass others.
This is a legitimate survey. With all the controversy over immunizations, why not give them your input?
Got the 4th call again. I called them back and spoke with a James who immediately started into his speech. I stopped him and ask for his name again and who he is call for. I had to stop him once again as he never paused and started on with his pitch. I stopped him again and ask for his home number. I guess that threw him, he stated he could not give it out and why I wanted his number. I stated that I had denied the survey prior but if it was so important I would call him at home and we would discuss it. He of course past, so I ask for his supervisor. I spoke with a Mike who as well stated he would not give out his home number. I again, stated that he had mine, so why could I not call him at home on his time if it is so important. He apologized and stated my number was being removed. Guess we will see.Best advice is to continue to ask for their home number, if they pass (and they will) ask to speak with the supervisor. Ask the supervisor for his home number and when he passes, then ask who is the President of the University is so you can call him at home. If they pass again, state you will research who he is and attempt to call him at home or office repeatedly and let him know those working on his behalf are not willing to give of their time to discuss such important business. Good Luck.Note: University of Chicago has a web site with the President's name and the Board of Directors, maybe a few thousand emails will get the point across to call off the dogs and start removing numbers to those who have "ask" to be removed from further calls.
Susan, they don't read these posts. If you don't want to hear from these kinds of people, get a call blocker for your land line, and contact your service provider for your cell phone to find out how to block unwanted calls. I get called once a month from these CDC people (or at least someone that claims to be taking a survey for CDC) and it's always from a different number. I always request that they quit calling, but a month later I get another call from a different number. Every time they call I block their number, and I also tell them that I will be doing that, or I just don't answer and block the number later. I expect I'll get another call from them next month from a different number. Whenever I do answer calls from a number I don't recognize, I never give any information of any type. I don't know who they are, and they don't need to know who I am. If they have enough information to call me, that's all they need and I'm sure not going to give them any more.
