Received two calls from this number today and numerous others over the past couple of weeks. We're in Our 60's and have no kids or, grand kids.I wonder who builds their database for them!I just keep hanging up or, set the phone aside until they go away. What a waste of resources on their part.
I have got calls before. I don't answer my cell number and I check out hang ups. Thanks to other's that posted. Glad I didn't answer. Been awhile since they called.
This number call me lots time. They record message too but I don't like answers the phone. Anyway even my regular calls some times. But they have to know the person they. Calling its working some times driving . And is not good to answer the call . But if you see a new call id some people they try to answer while they driving. Because to know who's calling. For this number.
I was called and took the 10 minute survey. I was skeptical but understanding the benefits of the survey and the impact it could have on the larger community was compelling. But I was also informed that I could opt out or not answer questions that didn't want to.if you are like my wife or I, we do rely on CDC published stats and information to be better informed about children's health. the only place CDC can get its information and develop consensus is from the public. I would likely be misinformed as well if I was not a savvy consumer of the health information CDC or other credited institutions put out. Also, HIPPA does not permit CDC to access health information without consent. so they are not "breaching HIPPA". DNC's are for commercial telemarketers. on the lighter side, there needs to be a DO NOT SCAM registry to report fraudulent callers. isn't that how we all ended up here? Now having said the above, with the number of scams taking place (IRS etc), CDC could perhaps get better with the surveys. one way is shorten the time between when letters are sent and the time of the survey call so there is better recall of the letter's contents.
I called them back telling them I kept getting called and I wanted to know why. The 1st question they ask is if you are over 17 years of age....just say no and they'll stop calling you.
i called this number back and the lady that answered said she was with the university, i asked to be removed from the call...we'll see if they call again(this was after the third call this week)
Below is the VP of NORC--The place calling for the survey. Maybe we should call her number and send her e-mails and harass her!!Michele Koppelman (312) 759-4016 koppelman-missy@norc.org
