Traced the number back to state insurance, NOT CDC. Congrats, on calling the wrong person.Shut down time...
Rec'd 2 calls fo my cell phone. One on Dec. 19th.@ 8:16pm & one on Jan. 2nd @ 5:42pm. Didn't recognize the ph. #, didn't answer either of them. No message left. These calls are very annoying & disturbing!
They called, said they were with CDC. They asked a few questions about immunizations. However, ALOT of the other questions were information that I thought was irrelevant. How many kids at home, what ages, what heredity, do you give them flu shots, why not, how many phones are in your home cell/land, are those phones readily available, how much do you make before taxes, do you own your home, what is your zip code, is to where you live, what is your nationality, are you related to the children, how. Not relevant, any of it. If this is the CDC, they need to have the number identified on caller ID. But pleased with this call. I didn't answer half of that crap. It's none of their business.
they don't ask for any personal information, only about number of children between certain ages and whether or not they have had vaccinations. They don't even ask gender or specific ages. Don't attack other people and call them gullible when you obviously didn't even take the time to read her reply. I was suspicious when they called me as well, but they simply told me what they were doing and I told them there were no children in this household and they thanked me for my time and that was the end of it. No fishing for any kind of info at all. I would say it is legit, and you are being an [***].
Caller ID, "NORC U CHICAGO", I don't think a legitimate survey would have women laughing to leave a message on my answering machine and that is all they did! Obviously, just another phishing scam!
They called my cell phone number which not many people have. Why wouldn't they call my house phone which is listed in a phone book for a survey?
They were calling my house phone for awhile; that finally stopped. Now they somehow got my cell number. Thankfully I can block them on my cell.
