Have you been called by 312-578-7017, NORC at the University of Chicago, or received a letter from Dr. Nancy Messonnier, Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), about the National Immunization Survey (NIS), NIS-Teen, or NIS-Child Influenza Module (CIM)?Please be assured that you were contacted about a survey sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NIS, NIS-Teen, and NIS-CIM are conducted for CDC by NORC at the University of Chicago
...can they steal money from your children's savings account, unless you gave them that information? In any case, you need not give them any information at all. Sounds like a bunch of phishing scammers, so I would go ahead and block them. If they're calling your cell phone, you can get a free app to block numbers. If they're calling your land line, look at buying a call blocker - you can get a good one for around $45 now.
Called at 8:45 PM . Left a message on my VM. From CDC wanting me to call them back with an 800 number to see if I have any young children living in my house hold and about immunization status. Caller ID shows NATIONAL OPINIO that I assume is National Opinion. They called a few days ago and did not leave any message. At least I was able to understand what the guy on the recording was saying. I probably would have been connected to a real human if I had answered, then I could have given him a piece of my mind about these calls.
They pretend to be calling about child immunization history, then they start asking for children's social security numbers, savings account plan numbers and pediatrician names. I believe this is an identity theft attempt on children's info. Call the police if they call you.
Thats not a recording. I thought it was a recording till I cursed him out and he started laughing
Thank you for the information. The purpose for my posting encompasses a warning to other parents, whom might believe this is a legitimate organization that is conducting a wholesome study regarding child immunizations, yet, only trying to obtain confidential information. It appears to be an identity theft attempt. I have already blocked the number, yet, I am concerned for other parents whom may inadvertently provide information that could harm their children.
I exploded on that idiot myself because they called everyday during works hours and disrupted my meetings. He started laughing after I cursed him out He has some deep creepy voice
They were very rude, called during dinner time, demanding information about my children. Said they were the disease control center.
