Got a call from this number on Sunday. No message left. Caller ID shows the name as IPSOS, never heard of them
A company selling ownership in pro basketball teams. I told him that I was an owner in the Charlotte Bobcats and that I would like to sell him my franchise because it ain't worth a crap. He hung up as soon as he figured out which team I was talking about. The bobcats are bad, but I did not realize that they are that bad.
Called yesterday at 4pm, and tonite at 8pm. Didn't answer yesterday cause I didn't recognize the number; they left a message, saying they're with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, conducting a survey about my experience with them; said they'd try again.Tonite, I didn't answer because I had plans other than answering survey questions. They left the same message again.Maybe I'll talk to 'em next time; depends on what time, what else is going on.
What seems to be lacking is your understanding that I pay for my phone service, its not free. Why should anyone be allowed to harass and call relentless for something I buy ??? They do not pay for my phone service yet they abuse it. I did not buy phone service for this type of bs.If you come knocking on my door where I pay rent or a mortgage I will tell you in no uncertain terms to leave me alone and don't come back. It works because they don't if they are foolish enough to do it anyway. This phone crap must end but there will be no help from a bought out political party on any side because they are bought and paid for corporate slacks
Instead of relying on caller ID, try to do your homework! First of all, Everything is outsourced now days! Our personal information is being entered onto Internet sources before we the consumers actually have the opportunity to know what is about to hit us! Many times our information is used by others without our knowledge which in turn causes an endless amount of grief. The main culprit behind all of these calls is the Domestic Business Corp. located in Prescott, Arizona which is part of Bartlett Inc, Ipsos, Synovate which do the Spam/Telemarketing/Phishing/Survey/Scam-Fraud calls for every Scamming Thief known to man. The worst part is, these characters are backed up by the Fasth Law Offices 629 E. Boca Raton Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85022 and their client is Rosa Foglequist 8740 S.W. Olsson Rd. Portland, Oregon 97223. Ipsos/Synovate 222 S.Riverside Plaza Suite 350 Chicago, Illinois 60606 ph: 312-526-4000. Other locations: Austin, TX Bellevue, WA Boston, MA Cincinnati, OH Columbia, MD Culver, CA Fresno, CA Glendale, CA Indianapolis, IN Mahwah, NJ NYC,NY Minneapolis, MN Norwalk, CT Parsippany, NJ Plymouth Meeting, PA Princeton, NJ San Francisco, CA San Ramon, CA Southfield, MI St.Louis, MO Washington DC Westbury, NY Wilton, CT just to name what has been found. Oh yea, the law office is also Estate Planning! BEWARE OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY AND ALL SURVERYS because they just open bad doors that have vicious monsters behind them waiting to get you!!!
Hello,I work for Ipsos, and like the majority of those who work there, if we could, we'd be working somewhere else. If it was as simple as walking out on the company for its tactics, politics, and so on, we would, but sadly that's not the case for everyone. We know we are most likely not wanted, but we do the job as we need to pay our bills and eat, and in some cases, there are those who are actually happy to hear from us ... yes, I know how that reads. Here are some simple tips to help both you, the respondent, and us, the interviewer live as amicably as possible.Unless client supplied, the phone numbers we call are randomly dialed, we will also get pay phones, fax modems, businesses, and even elevator phones. The calls are coded by the interviewer, if we get a "no answer," or residential "answering machine," it will be coded as such, and until someone answers the phone, the computer will just keep calling them back. Trust me, in my own home, if I see a number I don't recognize repeatedly calling me, I forget what I am and am ready to lift up the receiver and yell, also. However, that honestly doesn't get either of us anywhere, not really. The interviewer will be left feeling awful, and you still may end up getting a call from us, which I'll explain why below. The Do Not Call Registry does not apply to surveys. I wish it did because then maybe this industry would be closer to extinction. It has helped a bit, but not what you or I would like. Saying "I'm Not Interested" is also not the best method of defense as sometimes if the company gets desperate, it will dump all the refusals for us to try again using "refusal busting." Because so many people have cell phones nowadays, Ipsos will find ways around calling them too. So, what can a person do to stop being bothered by at least Ipsos, there is some hope.Although telling us to take you off our list is supposed to count toward the following, the best way is still to pick up the phone and say: "Please put me on your Do Not Call List." This way may not be as satisfying as yelling out your frustration, but it saves both your time and the interviewers, as the interviewer can quickly code the call as such and both parties be "on their way" without any animosity. In addition, I recommend that you record the time and date, and any other information you may feel as important; that way, if Ipsos should call you again (whether accidental or not) you then have a greater ability to report on Ipsos. For the record, you are also generally only on the list for six months, however that is still six months of freedom from Ipsos. Other notes of possible interest: Ipsos now expects the interviewer to go right into the survey, and being polite is no longer the main concern of the company. Illogical, I know, but that is Ipsos. Ipsos is a global corporation that has clients in lots of big places. On behalf of every interviewer, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our employer may cause you, or any interviewer, for that matter. Thanks for reading, and I hope I've helped you avoid even one less survey than your normally would have.
I have received two phone calls from this phone number this evening and they hang up on my answering machine. It is annoying. It might be a survey company. I do not answer calls like this.
