The Do Not Call Registry does not apply to surveys, unfortunately. Ipsos dials randomly, so unless there is a message (live or recorded) to put you on Ipsos' Do Not Call List, the automatic dialer will continue to call your number.
Jesse from IPSOS called wanting to speak to the owner or manager regarding today's business climate. Do owners and managers have time to just chat about the business climate?! i told him they don't have time for that call but he can try again later.
Received a call from 312-775-1287 around 8:30 PM on 1.8.18; shown on CID as: "IPSOS"-- I have NO idea who or what that is??????????! Call was picked up by answering machine, but no message was left-- caller immediately hung up, so it was obviously a SCAMMER. I will NEVER understand the 'methods' that SCAMMERS use-- what is the point of calling people and just hanging up??? Best advice: NEVER, EVER answer calls from names and/or numbers that you do not recognize! Better safe, than sorry!
Although it could have been in India, as Ipsos is a global company, their North American offices are throughout the US and Canada. From my end, north of Fargo, "9" is an access code to dial out before "1". Again, it could be India, I'm not sure.
Left 2 sec VM with background cafe or call center like noise. Could be a ploy to get me to call back?
Sadly, DNC list doesn't apply to telephone market research/ surveys/ polls. The most you can do is get put on their internal do not call list, which apparently is only for six months which you'd have to request to be put o again after that.
Rec'd call. No message. Caller ID: Chicago, IL Will blockAccording to whitepages.com Flagged as Scam or Fraud
It takes a moment for the computer to connect at times, so on the interviewer's end there was probably "no one there," and not an intentional rude hang up. If so, on behalf of my other interviewers, I apologize. The Do Not Call Registry does not apply to telephone market research/ surveys/ polls.
