Ok here you all go again.. The 318--963-8895 number is now calling a lot of older People in the allentown, bethlehem PA area. Yes I believe it is a scam 1, to confirm the number, to confuse the old into thinking thier paper is no longer going to be availiable. and who knows what else. also I would not take all the advise given as they have thier poeple putting information on sites like this. try what you can, donot call list after 31 days you can complain, Better business bures can do what it can but if you see the dates on these complaints it seem to start in Feb/mar in the past 2 years so it is not new! Good luck and warn the elderly...
Dude...I got these guys to stop calling me about 1 1/2 months...now they just called....AGAIN!
This number shows up as the name but the caller-id number is different. If you try to call the number from caller-id, it is invalid. These people have found ways around the telephone system. When I don't answer they hang up. I feel these people are violating my privacy because even if I don't answer it, it disrupts my day.
Thank you for that information i called that number and they said they would take me off there list.If your in houston and have the chronicle then thats what it is.I cant believe the houston chronicle would sell your number or give it out to someone..its sad.Thanks again for your information.
This number was calling my WORK number and getting through. I called the 314-845-2825 number mentioned on this page, and they are putting my work number on their "do not call" list. Hope it works. The woman I spoke with said they don't buy numbers. She said if you have done any business in the past with one of their newspaper (and/or periodicals) accounts, then you are on their list.
