What are you talking about - you are giving your point of view - that is incorrect and I am trying to warn people that I had bad checks and my attorney informed me correctly that you can be arrested for bad checks. You should be ashamed of yourself for leading people a stray - I will pray for you - you obviously need it. Are you going to bail these people out of jail when they are arrested? Maybe if you got a job you could pay your bills and not have to worry about issues like this.

Investigator Scott works for National Fraud Investigation Services - she is not a police officer and never said she was. She did say that my son would be arrested for the bad checks he wrote and he was. If you are an officer of the law you should inform people that many people are arrested everyday for writing bad checks - right?

Yes people do get arrested for bad checks if the collection process is not followed through the district attorneys office. If anyone has a bad check there is process the company has to follow in order to collect. The district attorney office will not call you and request payment. You will receive a notice in the mail from the district attorney office from the county you live in stating you owe for a bad check. Each county handles bad checks in a different manner. Only the district attorney in your county can issue warrants for your arrest. All felony warrants are executed without phone calls. If you have written a bad check you can settle with the company you wrote the bad check on. But remember there are scams out here to get your money, so if the caller is not willing to give you documentation or information about your hot check it is problem a scam. Like I stated before no officer will call you if you have warrants they just come get you.

The only crime that does not have a statue of limitation is murder. All other crimes have limitations depending on the state you live in.

I'm getting calls from someone who says they are an investigator in DuPage county and I don't live there. Very confused.

I keep getting calls from somone who says they are investigator Scott for my daughter claiming she has some case against her.

I received numerous calls from Officer Scott also. I called the non emergency number for Indianapolis myself and they stated that the number (317) 641-4518, does not belong to them. I believe that number is a cell phone There isn't even a Dupage County in Indiana. SCAM!

You guys are so stupid - I spoke with Investigator Scott - she never claimed to be from any government agency. However, just like she said - I did utter worthless checks and could have been prosecuted for this. She helped me a great deal with paying th restitution that I owed and I am greatful that she called me. Don't listen to your friends and family that think they know everything - you can and will get arrested for passing bad checks, read up on that before you go calling around and receiving bad information that could affect the rest of your life.
