I also received a call from this investigator - she never said that she worked for the district attorneys office or the police - what she did say was that she ran a background check on me, then located me through my family. I was really pissed off when I got her on the phone and told her that she couldnt call my relatives and employer to discuss a pay-day loan and that I was going to sue her. I spoke to an attorney - David Robins in Jacksonville, I couldnt believe what he told me. Just like what she said, it wasnt that i didnt pay on the loan that was the problem it was that i wrote a check to pay back the loan, and then closed my checking account. This is where Mr Robins told me I did break the law and could go to jail for up to a year for each charge. Mr Robins told me to call investigator Scott back and pay the balance off before the pay day loan company does press charges and i get pulled over for something stupid and go to jail. i was so scared to call her back that i asked him to call her for me and find out how i could pay the amount i owed. He got the companies information and the payment information. i paid it and then got a letter from the investigators company that no criminal charges were filed and the loan is paid in full. I asked mr robins to look over everything and he told me that i shouldnt have any more problems.

Just how much did Mr. Robins charge you to do all this??

Mr. Robins is a friend of the family. I am just glad that he knew I could be arrested for the checks and I didnt take the advise of other friends and family that told me to just ignore this.

You are incorrect - if you are receiving a call - you owe the money - you are just trying to get out of paying it like I did.
