OMG...its a scam to get you to refill your medication! Men in black helicopters are hovering over you now to make sure you fall for it.
Due to the conflicting comments listed here I decided not to return the call. There was an attempt to leave a message but it was just a couple seconds and garbled. I will err on the side of caution.
Hello. I am a Pharmacy Supervisor for two chain Walgreen's in the OKC area. I can tell you this is just a courtesy service to remind you of refills on your long term need RX. Our employees would never tell someone this is a scam, and it has never had profanity on its call back greet. Those claims are simply untrue. We provide this service to you at no extra charge to prevent our patients from running even one day short on your ongoing, critical meds. It is prompted by computer data, which is sometimes flawed due to user error and occassional typos. If we reach you in error, you can call your local Walgreen's and let them know to correct the phone number in the database. Should fix the problem so you won't get future calls.
It's not walgreens since i live in Wisconsin, get a call from this number and I have auto re-fill and my local walgreens calls. If i miss a call then there is an automated voicemail. there was no voice mail just a call and hang up.
I don't have any prescriptions at Walgreens - so I wouldn't be getting a call for a refill reminder - total SCAM, I didn't answer and no message was left.
Someone may have given them your number, or filled a medication on an old profile with that number, or maybe just maybe it was data error and the number was imputed wrong if you call them and give them the number there calling they will stop
The robocall I got from this number was totally legitimate, from Walgreens where I have a prescription on file. The caller id showed Walgreens Refil. I get this call every 3 months to renew my Rx. The program addresses me by my first name, asks for my Date of Birth to verify it's me for privacy, and then names the prescription and the Walgreens location I use and asks if I would like to renew it. This was a totally legitimate call. If others here have had a different experience with this number the only reason I can think of is scammers are spoofing Walgreens id but that was not my experience.
Called my home but left no msg. A real company would always leave a message, imo. My pharmacy has my few refills in its computer and the calling number is always id'd on caller id and message is that "there is a prescription awaiting pick up" for Mike, nothing more, nothing less.
I received two calls within 5 minutes of each other, after my doctor sent a prescription to Walgreens. The number is 480-263-4100. I looked up the number and there are posts that say they ask for Driver's license, date of birth, etc........... I reported it to my local Walgreens.........................
