Same as others noted, I'm getting several calls a week from this phone number. Never a message left.
So I tracked down the company InfoUSA.com that is making the calls. They are a Direct Marketing firm. So I sent an email to them at help@infoUSA.com to please remove our # from their call list. If you call them 1 800 321-0869, they said you to a voicemail where you can only mail in the request to be taken off the list. That is just unacceptable. So here was our email. Hopefully politeness still how power. Can you please delete our phone # (xxx) xxx-xxxx from you calling and database. We have gotten repeated calls from your (402) 930-3659 tel. # over the last few days. When we contacted by InfoUSA, they routed us to a voice recording of a mailing address to write to in order to get off of the calling list. As a good business strategy, you shouldn't have to make it that difficult to opt out for those individuals/businesses that actively choose to do so.Thanks for your time on this matter.
They called me on my home phone, verify a business name, we are residential and refused to take off the DNC list that we are on.
I wasn't sure who this infoCANADA was when they called and was cautious about the information I provided them. As soon as I got off the phone I looked them up online. As it turns out they are a legitimate company owned by their publically traded parent company infoGROUP. Now that I understood what they do and how they do it I called them back to confirm the information I have onfile with them. I had been about 6 months and I can't be happier with the results. The amount of telemarketing calls I have been getting as dropped and my search results improved in Google, I started appearing in GPS devices and started getting calls from potential clients from Business Directories I didn't know existed.
The info GROUP complies with all privacy laws and DNCL legislation. I would suggest calling either their head office, going to their website or sending an email to contentfeedback@infousa.com to let them know the information they have on file about you is incorrect. It will be updated rapidly. Additionally as they do scrub all their lists against DNCL lists accordingly by adding yourself to the DNC registry for your state or country you will be removed from all Telemarketing lists.
Feel free to give us a call or email to update your information with us or request no further calls. All the phone numbers our Tele-Research department calls are within the public domain. They would only be calling you to verify your business information that appears in the many different sources we supply information to unless you have a pre-existing business relationship with us. Thank you.
A so-called InfoUSA contacted me today at by office and asked to verify information they have on my business. They asked for my current address, owner's name, etc. I refused to give this to them, and told that information provided by the state records should be sufficient for them. I suspect they might be phishing for information beyond what's publicly vailable.
Caller ID said "INFO USA." I picked up the phone and heard ringing like I was calling someone. A woman answered and asked if this was XXX business. I said No. She apologized and hung up.
I heard ringing also, as though I were calling somone. I said 'hello', the man said "I'm sorry, I dialed the wrong number' and he hung up. This is a business he called
