I just looked at my bank account, I was charged 219.95 for what I have no clue. The bank statement lists the paypal phone number, non-pin charge. Why would paypal allow non-pin charges anyway. Nice way to sidestep security. Fraud dept. of bank alerted, I am requesting police brutality when the perps are caught. Yeah, like that will ever happen right?
I was fraudulently charged $32.80 on my debit card. The information recorded by my bank showed "EBAYGIVINGW" "DCUSA" and "402-935-7733". My credit card company reversed the charge and returned the money to my account.
this out fit just emptied my bank account for no reason, I have never used paypal and dont even understand the paypalSO BEWARE THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST

This is definitely a SCAM. The number is SPOOFED and the posters claiming here it's not a scam are IMPOSTERS.Let the answering machine answer and see for yourself: They wouldn't even leave a message...
This number appeared as a missed incoming call on my phone. I didn't know the identity of the caller, so I tried to find that out--- and ended up here. After reading a few of the entries, I pretty much gathered that, in all likelyhood, the number was being used by PayPal. My return call to this number confirmed this; and, I was told I needed a 6-digit passcode to input before the phone conversation could proceed. I logged-in to my PayPal account and went through the procedure of obtaining this passcode, then called PayPal back, using the same phone number. This time, when the time came to punch in the code, I did so--- and was asked by an automated operator why I had called--- to which I replied, "PayPal called me!". I was then connected with someone who identified herself as "Maria" something or other, who asked what she could do for me. I told her the same thing. The background noise sounded like maybe she was in a call center. Anyway, she checked the records, saw that the last transaction I had made was last night, and that everything was copacetic. At this point, we said our farewells and parted telephone company. The exact reason for the call to me was not discovered; but, going through this served to establish some things: 1.) PayPal had called. 2.) All was well with my account. 3.) Should something go awry, this fiasco established the record at this time; and, PayPal has a hand in being directly involved and affirming all is well. All I missed out on is the time I expended. AND I SHOULD NOTE: My call to PayPal did not "go through" at one point. It did just "go dead". Why? My guess is a simple dropped connection. Hope this helps somebody. jb
