Kudos! They need to step up security to protect people from these crazy, unauthorized transactions otherwise, they will be going out of business.
I received a call from this number at 9 at night.Looked up PayPal's actual call number and it is 402-935-2050,not 402-935-7733.I didn't answer because I didn't know the number,but this is not actually PayPal.
This number showed up on my credit card bill with 2 separate charges for $499.00. It showed it was Paypal *AFTC. The credit card in question has never been linked to a paypal account. I looked at my paypal account, no charges for the 499.00. Called the number listed (402)-935-7733 and it sounds like it's paypal but I got suspicious because the guy refused to look up the charges using just the name. He wanted me to give him the ENTIRE credit card number. Huge RED FLAG. He kept trying to make me give him the whole number. I refused and told him I'd just dispute it through my credit card company and hung up. The credit card company confirmed I was right in not giving him the whole number that if it'd been legit he should have been able to look it up with the name and last 5 of the card number. Thankfully the credit card company took the charges off my bill and are investigating it further.
This is a scam number. The number may be good but its being used to make illegal credit card purchases.
I have also just been hit up with 19.99 charge on my Bank of America card.Says it is PayPal Tree LIFE PRO. same phone number.It has to be a scam and I am disputing this with both Bank of America and Pay Pal. I have no charges on my pay pal account....

Multiple texts from different numbers. Follows the same format, different names and
Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
scam debt collector calling, asks to call a diff number, ignore
robo call asking to call a diff number.
Suspected spam. Phone rang twice and then hung up. No voicemail left.
