Zero dollar pre-auth showed up on my bank account with 402-935-7733. Called the number and was taken directly to Paypal. Spoke with security department. They showed that it was a ping against my bank debit card only because I just moved and updated my address information. They verified the timestamp and everything related to the transaction and it matched with what I had on my end in my list of address updates.
I got a charge of $40 on my cc from PayPal DEEPRSCRTS 402-935-7733 CA. I logged into my PayPal account and there was no history whatsoever with this charge on it. So I put DEEPRSCRTS in the Search Box in PayPal and that brought up a screen about how PayPal handles sexually oriented transactions. BTW, this was on a card that had recently been replaced due to fraud charges of $1 in Great Britain and $35 in Australia. So now they are changing my account number once again and sending me a new card. I did NOT get a call from these people. The phone number was listed on my cc statement.
That is not the number on their site. The number they have on their site is 402-935-2050 and they also have a 1-888 number as well. That is all.I got the same number (935-7733) calling me several times from these people. I rarely if at all answer numbers I do not recognize for fear of being scammed via my cell number. I called Paypal myself just a few moments ago and the operator I spoke with said It is NOT one of their numbers, they do not have that number what-so-ever. I called again and I am now talking with another operator and she says it is NOT one of their numbers. It could be someone who works at Paypal scamming customers. Some companies have people working from their homes. You call the company you're working for, you get a code number to type into your computer and/or your phone, then you are connected to the numbers used by the company. When someone calls you, you don't know what number they called but it goes straight to your phone for you to answer it. The caller does not know your number either. This is just one example of how it works. Hackers can do similar and just by you answering (or returning a call) your phone or hacking into your computer and monitoring your daily itinerary. It could also be a professional hacker(s). In fact my anti-malware AND my anti-virus programs keep blocking some suspicious activity on my computer today and yesterday ...and that is when this 402 number started calling my cell phone. I forget the name of the "phishing" malware and I immediately delete those things but it just is too coincidental to all be happening at once to me so I believe those telling me it is NOT legit. How do we know the people here telling us that the number is legit, isn't a part of or the one doing this scam, huh? Just saying, you never know. It's NOT Paypal, Ebay or Amazon doing this, it's someone out there hacking these companies and our accounts. Just DO NOT answer an unrecognized number. If you are getting these types of charges on your cards or bank accounts, immediately change your PW's, and change them every 2 weeks to a month. Also, another good idea is to make your password annoyingly LONG with numbers, letters and symbols (if allowed). Just to be SAFE... ONLY call/accept the phone number on the Paypal site. Program it in your phone. Do this with anything you exchange money online with. Let them know that is the only number you will call or answer to for whatever reason.
Scam ALERT! These people called my father claiming to be paypal. American accent so my father thought it was real. They got access info to his computer, credit cards & paypal. Charges appeared under this number for over $1,500 and they were under the name ifixcareLLC and Dereck Casler / FUZIRCHY67@hotmail.com They call from another number (844) 865-4555 and then put charges thru with (402) 935-7733. BEWARE!
A pending payment has appeared today on my MasterCard A/C (Australian CBA Bank ) for $1100.00 being to Paypal Topairgun 4129357733ca. I have a never used Paypal A/C but I think that's coincidental. Bank tells me they can't interfere with a pending transaction and Paypal ( Understandably I guess) say they can't do anything until the transaction completes. Everybody assures me I'll get my money back but I'd prefer it never went anywhere! I don't trust the bank and Paypal's a long way from Australia. This forum is the first I've heard of it being a phone No.
No calls here, but as others have experienced, 3 unauthorized charges appeared in my account under this contact number. (Spoke with my bank and it is the phone number associated with the transactions). The account that was compromised is not associated with my Paypal account, there's no history of them in my Paypal account, and I did not make any other purchases that otherwise use Paypal.
I found a debit from my bank account that read: PAYPAL *ADAM MAIL 4029357733 NC. This is from a purchase that I place on adameve.com and paid through their Pay Pal button. They label it as such so your banking instutution doesn't know you're ordering adult toys. As for the ones that use this phone number but not labeled as mine is, I don't know.
