This IS a legitimate PayPal phone #! My post above turned out to be not receiving my credit card bill that I thought was paid off for 2 months for unknown reasons--USPS?? When getting a call back from PayPal investigating the charges in question, this was the LEGITIMATE number that called back.

It is a scam. I had 30 charges from PAYPAL *BETTIERUEL8 4029357733 CA that started at 2 AM and went on until around 6 AM.Charges ranging from $15 to $29.

I also noticed an unexpected charge on my Costco CITIcard statement for 02/05 PAYPAL *ENUMBER INC 402-935-7733 NJ $16.08I haven't knowingly used PAYPAL for months. Looking back at my e-mail, I found I had made an eBay credit card purchase of an amplified UHF TV antenna for that amount. (It has arrived, but I haven't put it together yet.) So it was a valid charge (unless I see it again on a different charge card.)So, my recommendation to others questioning this number is, rather than wasting time and money on a call to this number, look back at your e-mail around the date and see if you made any eBay purchases (they send out confirmations of sales) or any charges for same amount.

l just got mt money taken out of my account last night and im so pissed. i struggle to take care of my children. paypal needs to do something. i have not used paypal in more than 5 years with a total different card.

I needed to reset my PayPal password. They called from this number to my stored and verified cell number. It's PayPal alright.I left the call type "unknown" because there isn't a better fit.

Had a phone call of this #no, but I was driving and beening in the uk. It is illegal to drive using a phone.. Being a professional driver it saved me points on my lincence and money in my PayPal account ! To which I don't have one .. :-) smiles all round ..

found these numbers on a series of cc bills. went back and found each and every one legit for ebay purchases. 7733 no must be related to paypal and used for all sorts of misc transactions. we went from thinking we'd be hacked or hijacked to finding we'd been charged appropriately for various things we'd purchased. check yours out 1st on ebay before you get all upset - probably you!
