pay pal verification

This is a Paypal number. After making two payments via Paypal I got three calls in succession and decided to call back. They were verifying the amount of the payment being sent because it was higher than payments that were usually sent. I in turn verified the amount and they assured me the payment would go through. I also had them note my account that another "higher-than-normal" amount would be paid in the next two weeks in order to avoid another call at that time. I'm glad they were verifying this information so I feel better that no one is going to clean out my account.

About 2 weeks ago I received a bill from Paypal for $496.00 out of a $500.00 credit line. I have NEVER used paypal but this account was open with all my info. I did not realize anything was done until I got the bill in the mail. The accout was opened and maxed out in 5 days. I reported it to paypal who does not appear very helpful, ge credit who treats me like the criminal. I have been able to reach some of the companies listed and all purchases where for e-mailed gift cards which I've never even heard of. It's so hard to keep a fair credit rating these days on my own, I don't need some hack destroying everything I try to do right. Any further ideas on what I can do or stop this from happening again.Sorry - no too computer savy and have no idea how this happened since I have top of the line security on everything.

Phone number appeared alongside three legit charges from Paypal.The phone number may be used by scammers to imitate legit charges?Not every one of these is a scammer. But some are, it seems.

Not true, I have had mysterious charges show up on my card then when I dispute them they (PayPal) says they didnt find anything and auto close the case give you the canned email that says if you need to further assistance you have to write and mail your dispute to ther home office. Its like wiping a booger offf under a seat. No one will help. I started seeing things go south after using Ebay through PayPal. however the transaction in question is now missing. Amazon owes me for a returned item , owe me over $500.00 Amazon says its PayPal that should be giving refund, and PayPal says Amazon. So Im in the middle with no one to help. They just go silent and basically its a silent F8ck you. No ethics in this world anymore. Here I returned and item its now in there possession however for some secret cloak and dagar reason they are balking at giving me a refund. They have my money and the item now I have nothing, out both the item and moneys. BULLISHIT/ AMAZON GET YOU ACT TOGETHER ALONG WITH PAY PAL WIPING YOU OFF AND DISMISSING you and any responsibility they might have. Nope, they dont care, right now someone has my $500.00 and its not me, and i certainly didnt get the item for free so what gives??

PayPal automatic call for account confirmation

I am receiving calls from 402-935-7733 and they are speaking in Spanish. I just received one at 12:55 in the morning and I was asleep. The others have been in the day. I do not have an account with Pay Pal.

PayPal verification

It's fraud prevention, checking on unusual payments, which is why their calls line up with uh...fraudulent charges. They didn't phish, they just asked if I made the suspicious payment. Real deal.
