they called twice on my cell. second time I spoke to someone that said they were taking a Gallop poll on cell phone users. I gave her a piece of my mind. I also am on the no call list.
PS. They were not a collection company when they called me. They refused to reveal who they were representing.
I got a call from this number twice on my cell phone and didn't know who it was so I googled the number. They don't leave a message but I'm not wasting my cell phone minutes on some telemarketer.
They are a collection agency. You believe them because they say something else? They are Gallup Poll INC located in San Francisco..... Look them up on the better business bureau web page.
i just got a call today and they asked for my dad when its my moms phone and then asked for her and asked when a good time to call would be, so iunno wtf, she didnt seem to want anything
Almost every business cold calls at one point or another. My doctor's office has follow up calls by a third party. My cable provider sent me several automated voicemails wanting to know how my service is. The charity I give to has a third party who calls. Almost every company has cold callers, and you want to know what else when you sign up for anything you had better read the fine print because your signature authorizes some of these people to sell your information and then it is achieved through a legitimate source and can sometimes get around the no call law. Kevin Trudea people are good at this. So you could be the one allowing people to get around the no call law, so you need to be more alert.
I received a call from this number yesterday evening on my land line. The person introduced himself as Brad and told me he was with the Gallup Pole. He asked me for information about my last visit to a specific bank, the name and location of the bank he asked about are actually where I bank. I told him that I declined to give any information due to the fact that I had not initiated the call. He got huffy and said, "I just told you, my name is Brad and I am with the Gallup Pole. Do you want my 1-800 number?" I told him no. That would serve no purpose in calling any 1-800 number he gave me because I still would not know who I was calling. At that point, I hung up.
