forgot the most important part I called Telus twice this week to see if they could block the number they said no and that I would have to change my number and that they did not know who the number belonged to but it was not one of their numbers!!!!! sick
Nothing wrong with pointing out proper grammar. People like you are the reason our society is becoming less intelligent.Good job.
If you live in Calgary, anytime you see the prefix "310", that's Telus calling.I used to have Telus phone service but switched to Shaw last summer. I have Shaw cable as well, so I have no idea why they would be calling me except to get me to switch.I will say that they used to call me all the time (Telus) and offered some great deals. The trick is not to accept the first deal that's offered, they will up the ante until they get you as a customer. Why didn't I go for it? I was just too busy, plus when I discovered I could get a better deal for phone service at Shaw, it made sense to stay with them.Have a nice day!
just got this call - probably telus - earlier on in this long thread of posts about this number people were commenting about telus vs shaw, just wanna say shaw has the best customer service around. worst = rogers, wish I did not have my cell contract with them, I'd be better off paying long distance to talk to Mars, then the ridiculous amounts of money these telecom companies charge for cell service, and to top it off, the terrible customer service at rogers, time after time, I am disappointed by them, it's getting to be not worth it to try and be frugal and see out the contract.I sometimes wish Shaw was in the mobile biz.anyways this # is telus, ya, thought I had em blocked. been getting lots of weird calls lately, but this one is one of less weird ones.I posted a good kijiji ad the other day, I'd be careful about putting your phone # on there, I swear I hardly get any calls for months, until I did that, then lots of random weird ones, once the other night at 3:30 am I got a 403 call, a 780 call, and two unknowns in the space of 20 minutes. Weirdest phone calls in a long, long time. Didn't answer, just fyi ;-)
Oh, and one more thing about Telus. Telus sells your number to telemarketers. Yes, they do.If you do not want Telus to sell your number to others, you have to write them a letter telling them not to.Yes, you will find this information in the white pages section of the telephone book. There is an address and a section on this. What do you do if you don't have a phonebook? Try to get it off the internet or contact Telus and ask for the address. That's all folks. Have a nice day.
oh and how to block #'s? sometimes service plans want you to upgrade to block numbers, unless you can afford it, forget that........instead, most cordless landline phones and of course cell & smart phones have blocking capabilities built in as a phone function.the landlines have a fairly simple menu, think of the block function on there like you would spam folder in your email.for smart phones I'm not sure, but I have sort of a semi-smart phone, older model lg xenon, and I can block numbers with it too (find a manual on the net or request one from your telcom company)alternatively, look into voip (voice over IP), unfortunately, it's still pretty technical to get a really cheap voip price in canada (thanks to big telcom politics in canada)peace.
