Know some folks who have recently received calls from this telephone number with someone on the other end posing as Revenue Canada and asking for sensitive information. Please be advised this is not a Goverment of Canada owned telephone number. Prefix belongs to Bell West and is designated for the Okotoks (south of Calgary), Alberta area.
spam call, very rude. couldn't understand what they were saying because of the accent. I asked how they got my number and he hung up on me. Told me I won a trip or something?
I got the same call. the number was 1-403-939-8080 and the recording wanted me to press 1 to accept. I apparently was supposed to have won airmiles. Yeah right. I hung up right away.And I'm in Nova Scotia
This number has called me 3 times. First time I answered and it said you won, I just hung up. They called back twice more I never answered it. I hung up before I heard any company name from the caller. I called the number back it said not in service.
I'm in Toronto and got the call from this number as well. It said "As a valued Fido customer, you've earned a free prize. Press 1 to accept this prize". I hung up. I have a Fido phone and get sketchy sales calls from them every so often that are actually legit. One time they offered me a "totally free new phone" that ended up putting $350 on my fido bill. This was a legit sales call from Fido but the company they hired for it was sketchy and sales people were just saying whatever to get a sale. Fido cleared it up and appologized. No idea if this most recent call was real or not, the recording sounded messed up.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Automated voice requested a call back from a person not at this number.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
