When I press 1 and asked to be placed on the don't call list they immediately hang up.
It is sad that people do fall for this scam. Once they get your information they put charges on your card and/or steal you identity.It must work enough times or they wouldn't still be calling everyone.Please tell your parents, friends, kids......to never give any information on the phone.I had fraud on my credit card in December. Wells Fargo fraud dept contacted me. I was instructed to call my credit card services 800# and ask for the fraud dept. immediately. That is how I knew it was a legitimate call from MY credit card company, not con artists.Help educate our family and friends who may not be as experienced or knowledgable. That is how we fight criminals.
If you know it's a credit card scam, just do this. Have fun with them and irritate them. I used to talk dirty to them and they would either swear at you or hang up on you. Do that a few times and you'll probably won't be getting any more calls.
Reporting them is a waste of time, the government has no interest in helping you. Again, 'whack a tele-marketer day' is needed!

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
