Bogus "Last chance to lower your rate" nuisance call. Dialed "1" to talk to an operator and asked to be removed from list. "Click". Thanks, gummint, for the Do Not Call List which no longer works.
I got a call from this number too. Didn't answer. The scammers seem to be switching numbers more frequently now. Must be because of all the call-blockers in use.
Call from 412 425 2734 today for Credit Card Services.Reported this unsolicited call to FCC website today.Seems like our Frontier Telephone provider could be a lot more helpfulto us as customers on getting these scammers shut down,as the practice of not helping us thwart these calls may lead us to discontinueland line service. The FCC may be helpful in the interim; I'm not aware of exactly what the FCC does with these complaints.I'm also not a big fan of the Feds being the solution to this, but if the Feds can bug the phones of Foreign Leaders, they should have a few minutes to help us by shutting down a couple of telephone numbersthat cause us taxpayers time and effort.Nuff said..
The DNC list is a government run program and you really expect it to work? HAH~!The DNC is nothing more than giving the phone subscriber a false sense of privacy.I live behind an answer machine + bought one of those 1200-1500 call-blockers that works awesome.. This call blocker will also block the 'out of the area calls w/o numbers', 'private calls w/o numbers' and all those pesky '800 numbers' if desired.I give unknown numbers two chances before they are permanently blocked.First call and leave no message is strike one.Second call and leave no message is strike two and immediately terminated to my sh!tt list.
They call two or three times a day talking about lowering my credit card interest rate. I have ask them more then once to stop calling and they still continue. calls as early as 7 a.m. waking up my 9 month old baby and as late as 10 p.m.
huh?! So why the hell even give them that much info?! Don't answer! Get a free caller ID from your local Walmart or cable company. Seriously, they are available for free out there. I am on the DNC list, have been for years, and still get those calls,..but seriously...just don't answer the garbage. Look at the screen, and if you don't recognize it, don't answer. :) If they leave a message they are worth your time...if not..f*em! :)
Do NOT answer. But if you do, try this. When you get to a person immediately ask them to hold before they get into their spiel. See how long you can keep them on hold before they hang up.
Kick [***] man! I will definitely be sharing my ideas with this scammer, as I hope the rest of these folks will who have ever received a call from this scum bag! :) Thanks!
These idiots call from the same number with different caller Id names. I hit 1 to speak to a "friendly" customer service rep and kindly asked to be put on their DO NOT CALL LIST......the "friendly" customer service rep hung up on me before I could even get that all out. I am sick of this harrassment!! If there are still people out there dumb enough to fall for their pitch, they deserve what they get. This should be illegal! I am "this close" to getting rid of my landline altogether. Sick of it. Verizon needs to make a way for callers to block numbers....permanently.
