Whenever I get calls like these, I ask the operator to hold, and then test my smoke alarm in their ear. I enjoy visualizing how quickly they remove their headset. Most of them confirm that my smoke detectors are working properly.For those who don't, I politely explain that I speak no English.

Numerous unwanted calls from this number

After getting a call from this number and then reading your comments, I checked on the name - Public Interest Committee -- and found they do have a form you can fill out to tell them to take your number off their calling list. Although hesitant, I did fill out the form and also told them that if this created even more calls from them, I would be contacting my State Senator. Also, after hearing a "no solicitation calls" voicemail on my niece's phone, I put on my own message and, whether just because it's been the holidays or because of my phone message, I have been getting only maybe one call every other day or so when I used to get 2 - 3 every day. Keep your fingers crossed this decrease continues!

I've gotten several calls from this number caller ID identified as "Pittsburg, PA". A recording has come on more than once saying: We're sorry, you have just missed one of our representitives. "If you have any questions about Pick please call this 800 number ". I don't listen to the number to call.
