Can't speak about those who don't have a Kohl's charge card but... This is NOT a scam call. It really is Kohls. if you want the calls to stop then just pay your bill. I'm late with my payment on my Kohl's card & this is why they keep calling me non stop.P.s. The do not call list does not stop credit collectors & even all solicitor calls. So what if you're on the do not call list! Nobody cares nor helps identifying the caller. Irrelevant in most cases, esp debt collections.
Ever since I purchased this AT&T cell phone the number - 414-257-2339 -keeps calling. It has been five times today and the funny thing is - I RARELY USE THIS PHONE - I do have a Kohl's account BUT this was probably a previous user's phone number and I am really getting sick of them calling. Also, I never give this phone number to anyone - only our residence. Enough is enough.
I just got a call from this number and guy says he's from Kohl's...okay, I have a Kohl's CC so I'll bite. He starts by saying 'I want to thank you for your payment' then asks if I received my December statement. Told him not yet that I am aware of. Well then he starts going into verifying my mailing address then says 'The next time you're on our site' and that's when I cut him off. I told him that I am at work and that he needs to cut to the chase and tell me why he's calling (because I definitely paid my bill so that can't be it) and his response is 'I wanted to thank you for your payment' and that's when I hung up. Sounds like a scheme to me.
Also if it's a collector they at some point have to state 'this call may be monitored' blah blah blah. When it's consumer collections it's required, and the only reason I know that is because my hubby works for a consumer collections firm (not as a collector tho lol). I'm thinking scam because I just got the call as well and I know I don't have a past due balance.
Called once a day, three days in a row. Silence when I answer. I called back and got the Kohl's system, pressed 0 through to speak to a person, and they tried to verify my ID, but then said "call back at another time" after getting my address and hung up.I called back again and spoke to a different person who says he removed my number from the call list.
This is NOT Kohl's as I contacted them and they said they were not calling me repeatedly. I finally got a human on one of these annoyance calls and cursed like a sailor at them asking why the F##$$ do you keep calling me-you have the wrong number-there is nobody here by that name--what F^%$##^ foreign country are you calling from......the girl sounded close to tears and said they would take our number off the list. We will see over the next week I guess. They call usually 2 times per day the last two months but this was the 4th one today.
