I don't answer the phone anymore. Caller hears a fax machine. Works great! You'd be surprised how quickly they hang up. Of course, a robo-call hangs on for a while. Sure has reduced the number of calls daily. :D
Annoying. Why can't this be stopped? There are laws and regulations for everything in the world. Why not unwanted phone calls. Belong to Do Not Call List. What's the use.

Called my Google Voice # 11/20/15 3:40 PM.It would appear that Google Voice accurately directed this call to SPAM.Left a blank, 3 second message.
Call hang up at 231 pm PST. IF you answer your number is "alive" and sold to others. Never answer these perverts. Report them. As for why can't they be stopped -- simple: crooks do not abide by do not call lists or laws do they? Isn't that why they are called crooks and scammers? They want to sucker in the elderly and infirm. Tell them never to respond to these calls. Protect them. As for why people who use the internet and use sites like this have no clue that they are crooks and are breaking laws and continually whine -- why don't they stop them since I am on the do not call list -- hello. Repeat: Crooks do not abide by laws. Report them report them report them. There was a massive group that finally got caught a couple weeks ago. You know the one: you were referred by a medical practitioner or family member for a free med alert .... busted at last! They changed their number at least once a month. Now, hopefully, the majority of those stupid scam calls will stop. Do not whine -- report!
At 3:13 pm EST I had the same call arrive today. Did the same - while it was ringing I looked it up here. Let it ring until it quit. Now blocked. Thanks 800notes!
