Yes, why are they phoning my Vancouver number?

got call from this phone...no one was there

showed up as REC REWARDS on the call display, I got a call from the same number a few days ago saying they were collecting clothes for the Children's Wish Society, seems sketchy

You people are hilarious. Charity fundraisers aren't gonna leave messages! Are u kidding me?! Could you imagine the uproar of angry people who would be furious that they are leaving messages. Have any of you actually done any fundraising?! You don't just sit on your hands and wait for people to "call you back" you would be waiting forever and the charity would hire a new marketing company. The only way to get a "sale" is talking directly to a customer, not waiting for them to call you. If you just dont answer, they will just callback. So if you don't want the calls daily, just pick up and say your not interested, simple as that.

Sorry but, there are just too may unsolicited calls to people's homes. This has to stop! There are many many ways for people to donate to charity - we do NOT need them calling our homes! I agree with one of the other people - The only way to stop this harrassment, yes harassment... is for everyone to simply say no to all of these callers, legit or not, I'm just fed up!!!

Well ... Three times since Aug 5th 2011 I have requested to be removed from their list ......Today Jan 13th 2012 they called several times again ...Guess it's time to call the CRTC and complain. We'll see what they do about it .

They are not a Charity and they have no right calling if you are on the DO NOT CALL LIST they take your stuff and sell it...this taken right from their website...What do you do with the items you collect?We sell the items to a store called Talize. Talize is a thrift department store located in Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Mississauga Ontario. Our sister company also operates in B.C. and supplies Talize located in Delta, B.C.

David has a point but you can go the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada's website and see that Talize gives to the Children's Wish Foundation over $100,000 a year, close to Tim Hortons smile cookie campaign. The fact that you have the time, a home phone and access to a computer to write comments makes me think you have something you could offer other than your opinion. Maybe you can donate directly to the Children's Wish Foundation and mention that to these telemarketers, tell them you are cutting out the middle man, have nothing to donate and would like to be taken off the calling list. You seem like a mouthy A hole though, too bad you didn't leave your phone number on here, I would totally sign you up for some annoying phone calls. Peace Beee otch !
