Like others have said, if there a legit company doing lawful charity work, then they would identify themselves on the phone as such. Is there a reason they don't identify themselves? Any legitimate charitable organization I know and deal with is proud to identify themselves.
If they are a legit company why don't they identify themselves on caller ID. Legitimate organizations are proud to identify themselves as such-why doesn't this organization do so - what are they hiding? When you block their number they phone under a different number - not the practise of legitimate organizations.
Several phone calls from this number. If they are collecting why no leave a message. Sure it is a suspicious enterprise without any identification on the call display.
Received a call from someone identifying herself as being from the childrens wish foundation. She said they had a truck in our area and could pick up any unwanted clothing and such on Oct 1/12. Was just wondering if this is legit?
They told me it was Childrens Aid Society. Called last week to schedule the delivery for tuesday but just called now showing this number to say they have rescheduled it til friday. As far as Im concerned if they want to pick up used clothes and household items that I dont want anyway it saves me a trip to Value Village to drop the stuff off. I dont care what they do with it.....come take it away. I will be leaving it outside near the garage anyway and they cant get near my house because of the dogs.
FOR YEARS NOW I HAVE HAD AN AUTOMATED ANSWERING MACHINE. IF YOU KNOW ME OR REALLY WANT TO TALK TO ME CALLERS WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE. NO MESSAGE - NO RETURN CALL. THIS ELIMINATES TELEMARKETERS BOTHERING ME. ALSO, WHEN I AM HOME MY 'CALL DISPLAY' HELPS ME DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO ANSWER A CALL. IT ALL WORKS FOR ME JUST FINE.

Person is telling me he is from Cox and that Cox has special offers. I asked about the offers and person saying he needs my Cox, forgot ? to verify that I had a Cox prescription. I hang up!
I got a call this afternoon 4/10/26 of a man saying he wanted to buy my building. I declined and said I was not interested and hung up. He called two times before and hung up.
