i think people should just stop giving to these so called charities...most of them are run by crooks or highly paid people, anyway, with high administrative costs. People should just give within their communities if feeling charitable, knowing where the money is going. These unwanted calls are getting simply ridiculous. I am not paying for my phone service so any idiot can call me whenever they feel like. Have had to run up from the basement many times to come and see that the call is from these mother f******. Some times they have woken me from my afternoon naps. Time our govt officials we elect, step in.

Why do these people call if we are on the do not call list?

Want to ID solicitous calls? Do not answer any call which refuses to identify the caller name or organization. Warn callers that you know to either leave a message or begin to leave a message so that if you are home you can pick up.One caveat though, these scammers can input any phone number they like in your phone display as I have noted receiving calls from my own phone number many times. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing fake names on your display soon.It is all pressure scam or telemarketers and since they do not respect your privacy, they should not expect busines from you.

You are wrong about the amount of money that gets donated.

Called for donations for Children wish foundation re: clothing, decoration, dishes truck in our area tomorrow asked to be removed from their list as I donate to other group called Jan 10,2013

Who gives a rat's heiny whether or not they just sit on their hands and wait for people to "call them back" ...how about being both considerate and courteous by leaving a brief message that explains who it it that is making the "Unknown" calls and maybe stating that they will attempt to make contact later. Any business, charity, or individual who makes calls like this, to my house, gets blocked and marked as a "SCAM" never to be dealt with again.

I agree with other posters. These calls are annoying. If they are automated and they don't get a reply, bloody well move on and stop calling the same number. I read that someone said it's coming from North York. I just read on 411.ca that it's coming from Midland. Heck, I'm in Niagara and will donate locally...and I never donate over the internet, phone or at the door (got scammed before). I choose the charity and nake sure it's legit.

I got a call form these jokers today. Told them i was on the do not call list. She said well that list doesn't exempt u fromt his call, so i said , well in that case it doesn't exempt me from telling you to go fukk yerself - then i hung up.....I hope they call back tomorrow, this is too much fun....

Seems they got my number from the other used company that's hounds me.
