I have been receiving calls from this number where no one answers. It's very frustrating when you're busy at work to keep getting interrupted by phone calls when no one's ever on the other end. But it only took 2 minutes to call the number back and request to be removed. The girl I spoke with was very polite and said it can take 48 hours, but I will be removed. They're just trying to do a job. Don't complain about the calls if you can't take 2 minutes out of our day to have yourself removed from the list. At least it's for a good cause.
i also several calls per days from them. i do i get off there list. i dont mind donating blood but come on enough calling all ready. can i text you me number ?? shoot me an email at rzrbackfan18@hotmail.com thanks
I hope he still works there because I'm going to try the email route too (thank you for the follow up note here). Anywhere from 3-6 calls a day for at least a month now, never a message. And with so many warning messages around saying not to answer calls when you don't know the number, there's no reason we should have to waste our minutes to deal with harassment.
If you really need to be taken off of the list stop in at you rlocal blood center and ask them to take it off while you are there. The staff know how to do it from the computer at the front desk or in the back. I happen to know for a fact that they don't call past 6pm on weekdays and 5 or s on the weekends so there is no way someone would call you at 11 at night. Hmmm Hmm.....Giving blood is vital. If you are to donate 1 pint you are saving a least 2 if not 3 adults and 1 baby. Think about that. Every 56 days you could save a family from a car accident, a cancer patient going in for treatment, a person with kidney failure or someone who was unfortunate and got hit by a drunk driver. A phone call is nothing compared to saving lives and to people who really do need it.
Thanks for keeping tabs on your business, man. Taking the time to address complaints doesn't go unnoticed.
Thank you for your professional and sincere message. I too have been called a bit too often by PSBC but also recognize the need, and in the end do appreciate the persistence in contacting me. Thank you for stepping up to the complaints and explaining it from your situation. It really makes me think that much more highly of your organization! Sincerely, Andrea Arnold
Proper phone etiquette, no matter who you are is: if you don't get an answer, leave a message. If that had happened, I would have called back and made an appointment to donate blood. But as it stands, I just started getting ticked off that someone was calling me 5 times a day, and I had no idea to know who it was. Once I googled the number and found out that it was PSBC, I called and they said, "oh no problem, we'll just make a little change in your account so the system only calls you once and leaves a message." Which is what should have been happened from the start. But now I'm so irritated, I don't really want to go out of my way to help them. How the H are people supposed to know the bloodbank is calling if they don't leave a message??? If they want people to donate blood, they should leave a message so people can call back at their convenience. Just because they're a non-profit doesn't mean they can harrass people. The PSBC is hurting people who need blood more than helping them with this kind of aggressive calling.
Calling to Schedule a donation, let you know about a shortage of your type or a blood drive in your area. You only get a call from them if you've donated in the past, and if you ask them to remove you, they will.
