True, it's a non-profit that does a lot of good and is needed. But there should be a limit to how many times they blow up your phone, until you answer.I typically do not answer the phone. I work from home on a business line, so I let the machine get it. It's most often a scam artist (not in this case) and our friends/family call our cellphones(in the evenings, not middle of the day), but I still need to hear it ring, in case it is the school, or someone else trying to reach someone in general, not a specific member's cell.I have received SIX calls from this number in the past two hours. That's a bit excessive, even for a worthy cause. It's also a big distraction, and the frustration factor is likely to turn OFF potential donors. When they call back, I will ask to be taken off the list. Then they will just have to hope we remember to donate blood when there is need, not being irritated into it.
Wow you are denying patients blood BC you couldn't take the time to answer one call and ask them to take you off the list..genius...
I finally answered one of there many calls and they told me they can leave a voicemail instead of calling multiple times a day. Just request for and you will still get your reminders.
Then answer and asked them to leave a voicemail or call less often. How is that so hard??? Lol
After reading a lot of these comments, its not the actual people dialing. It is a computer that dials. They have no idea you are not even answering or how many times you're phone has rung.
Puget Sound Blood Center has been abusing my phone number by me 3-5 times per day, every day for almost a year. This is after I spoke with one of them several times to take me off their list, and that I would donate my blood at my capacity, and that I had significant blood loss and was just released from Emergency Room. It is clearly out of line and insane to repeatedly call someone every day. It is not only destructing, but is a safety issue. It seems that they have been reported several times. Can't anything be done about this?
They call 6 times a day everyday. My daughter donated at the local college and has since moved on to a national college on the other side of the country. My wife and I cannot donate, we are both not of a health status that would allow us to. No matter how many times I tell them the kid no longer lives here, they still call 6 to 8 times a day. If at my next test they tell me I can donate, I'll donate anywhere but with them. Their gorilla marketing has made me turn a blind eye to their pleading.
Are you for real? The Puget Sound Blood Center is a non-profit volunteer organization and if you're in the Seattle area, they're your blood source should you need it. Be grateful for the people who answer the phone and kindly decide to donate and stop being such a selfish tool.
