What don't you get?!!! Take us off your list!!!! We can donate thru Red Cross with people who care!!!!
THEY CALL ME EVERY DAY. I finally just typed the number into google to see if anything came up, and VOILA, there are all these posts. It's beyond irritating and needs to stop.
Thanks for the reminder. I'll go in today. I hope your bot dialer problem gets fixed. One call is plenty - as you can see, many people identify it even if no message gets sent. And lots of people are obviously stressed about other things and point that cannon at you. That is sad. Blood donation is always a good thing.
Go back to your occupy protest. You fools protesting blood banks now too? You do realize it's a different kind of bank, right?
I've been told I was taken off the list many times in the last four years but still they call me four or more times a day. My next step is going to be calling the WA State Attorney General's office to see if anything can be done to stop them from calling me.
Psbc called me twice this week and just leave me a short message. I would be mad too if I received the phone calls from them everyday. I guess they need to fix the way they contact donors. By email would be better. But hey this is a non profit organization and they do their best to save more lives. Each call they make may worth saving one life. I get bothered too but when I think about what my donation can do ? I don't want to complain. Well I think if psbc becomes like biomat that pays donors they will get more people willingly to donate and pick up the phone calls ... and well the end receivers they would have to pay more too. And I don't want to see that happens. Psbc is a good organization. Don't decide to not donate because you get irritated by frequent phone calls PLUS blood donation is good good for our health ! Google how it benefits you and your health ! At least I am not gonna die from a heart disease because I am a regular donor ^-^
It would be easy - BUT - some of us cannot. I was a donor for many years - I have AB+ blood. Through no fault of my own, I went out to dinner, and some of us who ate at this restaurant came down with hepatitis. The results, I can no longer donate blood. This is why some of us would prefer not to receive phone calls.
For all you "haters" out there that have an issue with how PSBC contacts there donors you need to be taking multiple things into consideration. First and foremost, you signed up to be a donor and to get calls from them. Yes the auto dialer calling can get annoying at times but is it really that hard to pick up your phone for 2 minutes to say, hey I can't donate right now, or call me back in a month. Whatever you need, they are more then willing to do for you. If you are continually hanging up on them or just not answering there calls nothing is going to get fixed for you. They are on an PREDICTIVE DIALER it is set to call a certain way everytime unless you pick up your phone and ask for it to be changed. You all act so put out over this simple task. The workers that call, they are not volunteers, they are paid employees, are just doing there job. Which btw is a stat based position that if you don't make your stats you get fired. Not that that is the donors problem but just to let ppl know that someones job is on the line everytime you hang up the phone or if they do make an appointment to donate and don't show up. There are many factors that ppl are unware of. So next time you see PSBC calling, try to take 2 minutes out of your day to let them know what you want to change and they will do it. If you can make an appointment to donate then great, but for goodness sake, have some respect for the blood center and the employee that scheduled your appointment, if you can't make it to your appointment, have the common courtesy to call them at there toll free number , 1-800-398-7888 to cancel or reschedule your appointment so another donor who can make it will have the opportunity to donate. Its as simple as that.
Amy, you say it's easy, but yet when I do answer the phone, there is noone there. So, how do I ask to be removed? I guess it isn't as simple as you say. Oh, by the way, I have never donated blood or done any business with PSBC ever. So, how did I get on their call list? I think, like you stated, this a stat based call center, but these callers are performing random "cold" calls and actually have no idea who they are calling. How else do you explain why there is never anyone on the phone when I do answer or why there is never a message left on the machine? Why do they call 4-5 times a night? Why do they call at all hrs of the day? My caller id has recorded the calls from 8am till as late as 8:58pm.I have reported the number to the national do not call registry and will continue to do so as long they continue to harass me with these calls.
